We don't have one of these? Trial version up on the store. First reaction on loading it up....holy shit! It looks, stunning!|
EG info page here.
Give me $10 I'm worth it.
|Does indeed look glorious.|
|If anyone has it, can you confirm how the touch screen controls are integrated into this version? I seem to recall reading something about using it for the graffiti actions..?|
|Oh. I've not tried touch screen controls yet so it's most likely optional at least. I've just been doing the analogue stick rotations.|
|Was hovering over the 'Buy' button last night, however, i remembered i have Black Ops 2 to play.....and Hitman....and Assassins Creed III.....and NFS: Most Wanted......and Forza Horizon....and Halo 4......and XCOM......etc,etc, e-fucking-tc.|
"Don't you do it, Hitler.....don't you dare fall in love with me"
|What exactly is this game about? It looks great, but is there a story to it?|
Yes. A pretty stupid one nonetheless.|
Don't take this the wrong way, but I'm sure all your questions will be answered at the usual place... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jet_set_radio
I had a weird bug first time I played, where the options screen kept reappearing after a second or so of gameplay.|
Not had it since, but not a promising start.
Loving the style, though. Never had a Dreamcast, this was the main game I thought at the time I was missing out on.

@Popzeus I had that problem too, yesterday. I put a couple of hours into it last night though, and haven't had a single issue since. Bit weird.|
I've bought this three times now (DC, XBL, and now Vita), but I think this might just be the best way to play it. And the colours really pop on the Vita's screen.
|Trail downloaded, but not played. I might have a go tonight. Never played it before, so am looking forward to it|
This hasn't really clicked with me yet.|
It looks and sounds fantastic, but I'm finding the controls really cumbersome. The intro screen makes it look like I'm going to be gliding effortlessly around the city, but I've found it very difficult to build up any speed or judge my jumps properly.
Going to stick with it for a while longer yet, but it feels a bit like trying to play Tony Hawk one-handed in a Katamari level.

Music is awesome - wish they'd bring airblade back... It's a similar game but a bit easier with a different graphic style (and hover boards!)|
Anyway Jet Set is a buy for me!
Bit hard for me, trying to get used to the controls, music is annoying once you hear it from start 8 or so times in a row.|
Also pretty sure that guy is going to haunt my dreams, he certainly has a face for the radio.
Eurogamer's local Canadian member. Eh?
|Just downloading the trial, never had it on the dreamcast for some reason.|

|I never had a Dreamcast so this game is new to me too. Also finding it hard to judge jumps etc. a little bit of me is wondering what the fuss is about to be honest.|
I love the game then and I still do but yeah I'll concede that some of the platforming is an exercise in frustration.|
Anyone else want to throw their Vita through the window trying to make this jump?
Edited by Gojiratron at 00:29:21 24-11-2012
|@Gojiratron There's a narrow ledge on that left wall, skate onto that, jump and wall-ride, then jump off onto the other side. Ignore the crane, it's a bugger to grind up.|
Ah, wish I'd noticed that before lol. I'll remember that next time I'm on that stage. Other night it was try several times, fail and end up in storm drain having to climb back up. Eventually made it only to find not enough paint. Eventually make it again but ran out of time. Try stage again. Make the jump and I'm going through the stage but a jump from the playground has me landing on a bus which then drives out the stage before I can get off. Try again, make the jump, game crashes! Aaargh!|
Anyone else had issues with the game crashing? A few times now it's happened to me.
Luckily I remembered discovering that ledge after many attempts on the DC version. I still remember the frustration though!|
Funnily enough, the game crashed on me last night, on the loading screen right after doing the 'tag all gang members ten times' challenge against Poison Jam. The screen faded to black, the music kept playing... and it just hung like that for a few minutes until I restarted the game. I had to re-do the challenge. First and only time it's happened so far...
Haven't had that error yet. With me it comes up with an error code and the application closes, asking me if I want to report the problem (kinda like crashing to desktop on a PC). Another time I had to quit the application and restart as every time I started a level it the menu kept popping up and disappearing as if the start button was being hammered.|
Someone asked about touch controls. I tried using them for a while and it's okay for spraying the graffiti but I find the stick faster and more reliable.
I HAVE TO GET THIS VERY SOON. Hopefully my internet will stay up long enough.|
|although. Do you not think it will come to plus?|
|It's on plus in America so I think it's guaranteed we'll get it at some point.|
|Great. I guess I'll wait. FML|
I thought about holding off for it to be added to PS+ but then I played the demo. I loved it then and I still love it now, even after finishing it on Steam 2 months ago.|
I think it'll be a few months before it's added to plus, it kicked off a few months ago when everyone bought a game at a discounted price and then Sony gave it away with PS+. I'm pretty sure they said they would try and stop this happening in the future.
