Assume the bins for the whole road are pilled up against your front fence.

There is a grass verge 20 metres down the road, where the rest of the residents group their bins together, but in my area they get collected and chucked up against my fence, which I paid a bit of money to have done. It's fucking pissing me off, having everyone else's shit up against my fence. The other neighbours barely get it put outside their homes, and when it has happened they've gone out of their way to stop it happening again; i.e parking cars in the way, carrying rubbish down the road, even one has a agreement with the neighbour opposite him that he leaves it outside his home (on my side of the road, knowing that it's likely to be grouped together outside my place). I think I've had it nearly every week this year, I may just say they can start a little fly tip if they want on my front garden!

Pilled up? You have druggie wheelie bins? Or are you talking about tramps?

Who groups it there? The bin men or the neighbours themselves?
  • Deleted user 14 November 2012 12:50:31
Heh, I wasn't sure how to spell that so trusted the auto-correct.

Unfortunately we have no wheelie bins in Hampshire, that would instantly solve my problem. People just put their rubbish out in the bin bags. The bin men gather it all up in piles, and my place seems to be the place every week.

    @Dougs - bin men

I should probably add that the previous owner of my home had it in a bit of a state, so I'm not surprised they piled it up outside his/my place. Things have changed though and I have cleaned and tidied the place up a lot, I suppose I'm taking it quite personally.

No wheelie bins!? WTF, is this the 70's?

I haven't seen bin bags piled up in the streets for years, that's grim.
Have a word with the council or put up a sign saying "No Fly Tipping" on your fence and see what happens :)

    This signature intentionally left blank.

We don't have wheelie bins either, but we leave them in the bins. If we left the bags out the foxes would have them all over the street within seconds.

Call the local council and complain that you are having to clean up rubbish left outside your property because animals are getting to it, even if they are not.

    Ok top tips guys.

    My order of preference atm.

    1) Killing spree
    2) Set everything on fire
    3) No fly tipping/dumping sign
    4) tba
    5) tba
    ...
    10) phone council

Seems like a logical, completely sane approach.

Oooh L_Franko, that is good. I think we have a winner. :)

Search through it and take out loans in everyone's names. Then run away to a better street with the money. Solved.

My mrs could have been on 'thats life' a few weeks ago. As a childminder, she obviously gets through a fair few nappies but since our bin is quite small and the collections have gone down to one a fortnight, our bin fills up quite quickly.

So every day when she picks our daughter up from school, she takes a few nappies and chucks them in the council bin outside the school.

Some binman has noticed this and the other day a jobsworth was there, waiting for her to tell her that this was effectively flytipping and that she could be prosecuted for it if she continued.

Is the fence dangerously pointy? If so, you could do the killing spree thing, then use people's severed heads as protective caps for your fence.

1:No-one will sue you for injury on your dangerous fence.

2:No one will dare leave their bins there with that display to warn them.

3: A satisfying way to release your anger.

The world is going mad. Me? I'm doing fine.

And the paedos are attracting children with little common sense, and the children with little common sense are attracting animals.

    That is fucking remarkable.

Edit: I should add my mum does exactly the same, she dumps them in the bin down the beach.

It's better than on the street... but I think I agree with the jobsworth somewhat (the school has to pay to get their bins emptied; it's not the domestic service).

You know if you have a reason, you can ask the council for a second bin. I'd say they wouldn't greatly object to it. Alternatively, just tell the brats to stop shitting themselves.

Our recycling bin was pinched a few weeks ago. I waited a week for everyone to take their bins back in... then pinched one that was still left out. I mean, it's been a week so you clearly don't give a shit about it littering up the street! It's MY bin now, bitches.

Hmmm, dare I say I kinda see the jobsworth's point?

I mean yes, he is obviously being petty, and to compare it to flytipping is unfair. However, "professional waste" (gardening stuff, construction debree and I suppose childminders' nappies) probably shouldn't go in council bins ideally.
