Norway is not further north than Iceland, it just looks like it is on the Wikipedia picture.

Ooooh, wait, I need to shut the hell up. I apologise.

    I'll give it P_W.

South is Crete. East is Cyprus. West is Iceland. North is Norway.

Wait, am I mixed up between Crete and Cyprus then? I think I thought Cyprus was where Crete actually is.

    OK, Crete questions:

What's the name of the palace there that's a famous archeological site?

What's the name of the civilisation from there and then?

What's the name of the volcano that blew up and (some say) was responsible for the downfall of their civilisation?

Aye, I'll accept Thera (I'd also have taken Santorini, which is what they're calling the island these days).

Destria or imamazed can ask a question.

Okay, inspired the the animally question above... give me the collective nouns for the following animals:

    1. Owl
    2. Gorilla
    3. Viper
    4. Crows
    5. Locust
    6. God (not an animal, but meh...)

A couple of these have more than one option, so I'll accept either
  • Deleted user 2 May 2013 17:16:17

    OK.

What is the intriguing purpose of the electronic gadget that the hero of Desmond Bagley's "Running Blind" novel is asked to deliver, in his role as a secret service agent?

The actual purpose of it is that it does absolutely nothing. You put electricity in one side and nothing comes out of the other.
The reason he is carrying it is to try to flush out the suspected spy/double agent.

It's a fucking great book, as are most of his. My favourites being The Tightrope Men and The Spoilers.
