OK, new week, new question (althought jonsaan should come back and tell us the answer; I'm rather intrigued and google isn't telling me the answer).

Which battle of 1642 was the first battle in the English Civil War?

The uni there was also ranked the worst in the whole of the UK for a few years, I believe.

OK actor Shane Black played Hawkins in Predator - what was the main reason he was selected for the part?

He'd been brought in as Scripwriter / re-writer and so knew the dialogue?

Not this Edgehill, unless there was a university in the small part of West Swindon I lived in as a kid.

It was to work on the script while filming was going on. I'll give you it, despite it being pretty obvious you cheated.

    /rises above obvious trolling

I've just looked at the wiki, and apparently the main reason he was brought in was because John McTiernan was an inexperienced director, and they wanted Black to keep an eye on him.

    Anyway.

    Who am I?

I'm a forty-something actor, and my three best known roles have been (not necessarily in chronological order):

    A serial killer
    A cartoon character
    A computer whizzkid

Name the actor and the three films.

I think he was also there to check on the slightly inexperienced director. A spy, basically.

    EDIT: What boo said

I thought Matthew Broderick straight away for some reason too. Don't think he's played a serial killer though has he?

Matthew Broderick is famous for being two computer whizzkids imo. War Games and Ferris Bueller (at a stretch)

Not as nice as I used to be

    A clue.

The computer whizzkid role was in a one-off film.
He played the cartoon character in the film's sequel.
The serial killer film spawned three sequels, but he may or may not have been in them.

Is it shaggy from Scooby do? I think he was in Scream and I vaguely remember him being a computer whiz kid in something. I'd have to google his name though.

How can you have a sequel to a one-off film?
