Is it that 6 word thing from Hemmingway? Something like "For Sale: Babies boots, never worn". I don't think it's really that, but it's the closest I can think of.

Oh for goodness sake, I've caught my scrotum in my zip again - Margaret Thatcher, 1986

It turns out it probably wasn't by hemingway. But yeah, pretty famous regardless.

I really shouldn't have posted an answer given I've no ideas for a quiz question.

So an easy one: What town was famous economist and author of The Wealth of Nations Adam Smith born in?

Actually that's probably a bit more obscure than I think. What about what century was he alive in? A few guesses will get that. Or just move on to more interesting questions :)

I would imagine there's at least one of those in the region, but this one has international recognition. Bonus point for getting the date too.

Nope and nope. Clue time; the date it happens on is the third Thursday of November and there's no finish line as such, but it could end anywhere in the world.

No it wouldn't, because then you'd get the question right and disappear for an aeon without setting a new one :p

Looks like I killed the quiz. It was, of course, the Beaujolais Race. Ok, simpler one but continuing the theme francais:

What's the English name for the Cote d'Azure?

Clue: it's not "the blue coast".
