    No, the Desmond modern day shit is still just as convoluted and incomprehensible if you've played all the games, just ignore it like most people do and concentrate on the America stuff instead.

    You're not wrong, it seems that the Lost Archive DLC for AC2 contained a major plot point (Lucy was a Templar) that AC3 refers to as if everyone will have played it.
