    Good. :p

Although I think the announcement should have gone like this:

Interviewer: So, are you releasing a HD Tales of Symphonia then?
    Baba: Hmm, you're getting hot...
    Interviewer: Really? So you are?
Baba: Naw, you're actually cold. Way off.
    Interviewer: Oh, that's a shame.
Baba: Only kidding! You were getting hot and we are releasing it!
Interviewer: ...I don't think I feel anything any more.

Looking at the Japanese announcement video, it seems like Symphonia will be the PS2 version. What are the differences between it and the GC original?

Also, you can get Guy and Luke costumes for Lloyd and Genis respectively :p

Never played Symphonia, but heard nothing but good things about it. Bring it on!

It's not actually coming out in the Vita though, or have they decided they actually like us now?

No, it's just PS3 so far. I just happened to post it in here as I'd previously mentioned it in this thread. It would be nice on Vita, though!

Seeing as we were talking about Symphonia Chronicles in this thread, I'll post this here.

Apparently, there will be a limited edition outside of Japan, announced at NYCC. Hopefully it's not just for NA.

Also, in related news, I just pre-ordered a Zelos figure /o\

I didn't like the demo of it enough to buy but it's great news. I'm thinking of taking the plunge on Innocence R as it's on budget release now.

It's certainly worth a punt. I don't think it would be a good idea for them to make the demo available as Tales games demo really badly - the demos put me off both Innocence and Hearts, and I'm quite enjoying my play through of Innocence so far. There are complaints that Hearts R isn't as good as the DS original, but it's not like they translated the DS version either.

I hope EVERYONE buys this so we show there is an audience for quality JRPGs on the Vita!
It will obviously never reach PSP level but it'd be awesome to build a small quality library up.

Good to know we won't have to wait years for this, and I do wonder if we'll see Innocence if this sells well.

I do hope it sells well. It's funny about Innocence as it is the first chronologically, but I guess the graphics are less impressive for starters.

That's a good point. Maybe they're just going to pretend it doesn't exist. Either way, we're in a better position now than we were before, so no complaints from me.

I'm playing Hearts R at work while I wait to get home to Bloodborne.

    Kunzite is hilarious.

'What should we do?' 'I propose breaking through using force'. Every time. :D

Tales of Hearts has actually sold more on Vita than Tales of Eternia sold on PSP, as far as I can tell. Over 300K, which is fairly good for a niche genre on a small install base!

Almost picked it up for 20 yesterday in Gamestop. Loved Symphonia, my only Tales experience. Thoughts on this? What is the story and characterisation like?

Opinions appear to be divided, but I loved it. Story and characters are standard Tales fare (i.e. largely forgettable), but the gameplay is excellent and it looks lovely on the Vita's screen. I can highly recommend it, especially if you can find a reasonably priced copy.

Edit: Should actually read posts. At 20 it's a no-brainer!
