It's in case the power goes out and the water stops flowing. Fill up all sinks and bathtubs with fresh water. It was a standard piece of advice in the 80s in case of "nuclear attack from the Ruskies".

You guys won't survive without water. Fill your bathtubs now. If you still got hot water, use that and don't forget to put out the veggies to steam while you're doing it.

    Good luck guys!

Wasn't the lack of drinkable water the reason for a lot of the casualties in New Orleans? Makes sense to not have that again.

Yeah, if the flooding is really bad you won't want to use the local supply. I probably won't be in my house if that's the case, though.

Well, either everyone is rushing home or nobody is buying the hype - because it's just as busy as usual around here.

You put a mattress or board (or something) over yourself in the tub.

Pro tip: Once filled, cover the bathtub with cling film, then pierce a small hole for a pipe. This will prevent rat droppings and debris polluting your precious water.

Wonder what all the religious Yankees think of God throwing this their way; the chosen country?

Probably something about NYC being a haven for all manner of sinners.

Fuck knows hpw they circle all the tornadoes though. They focus almost exclusively on the Bible Belt lands. Perhaps they isn't prayings hard enough.
