There's a specific name for that phenomena of saying "yes" to things. Think it might be called priming but I'm probably wrong.|
Getting a lot of things that can empirically be shown to work and using them is fine. The problem is that the NLP brigade took a load of that, added a bunch of other made up crap with it, attributed equal footing to all of it , rolled it in to a package and turned it in to something akin pyramid selling scheme.
