I do normally like experimentation with food though, and am currently on a mission to find something that is good on bread or toast that isn't better on crumpets. Nothing yet. I thought paté might be a clincher, but, no.
This evening, I made a club sandwich (chicken, bacon, tomato, salad, mayo) and because I felt quite hungry and I wasn't sure if one would be enough, I made two just in case.
As a practicing scientist, I felt compelled to turn one of the identical sandwiches upside down and see if it tasted different. It did. The one which had the bacon & tomato at the bottom tasted nicer than the one with the mayo & chicken at the bottom.
Tell me of your taste experiments.
