Stupid question, but is there MUCH training required to pull something like this off? I assume that having figured out your position and got some nice kit, all you do is jump out, wait and pull.

Still... fair bloody play to him.

I imagine it involved several years of being steel toe booted in the balls to make them as hard as possible.

Perhaps learning a bit of technique to stop your body rotating like a fucking Catherine wheel while descending at supersonic speeds wouldn't go amiss FWB, but I've got a wicker chair, a bag of balloons and and a tank of helium if you want to prove me wrong.

I would imagine it's pretty much all skilled technique at that altitude or you'd be dead very quick.

I'm sure some training is involved. No doubt. But is it that much? Like the skill you need to ride a pony. A small pony.

PM and I'll send you my address for the gear.

The team had been preparing for the mission for the past 4 years.

    That's a lot of ponies.

I'm not being obnoxious here. I'm sure it was a lot of effort and it is pretty damn cool. I was just wondering what he exactly has to do during the descent. Of course control his position - surely something a decent freefaller could do - and have massive balls.

The descent was unprecedented though, no one had ever fallen at that speed before so how do you prepare for it? It would be like training to ride a pony when the only animal you've ever seen is a dog.

Jesus came down from heaven, which was further. But okay, second highest descent.

Distance isn't the same as speed. 706 mph is the unnofficial mark, Mary would have to have had spectacular cervical control to launch Jesus out at a similar speed.

Came down. Entering Mary. Mary didn't launch him. Don't be silly. No vagina is that powerful... yet.

Yeah, he was spinning round and round at the start. He wasn't able to completely control what he was doing, but the voiceover guy was saying he had to make sure he got himself into a decent position for the rest of the jump.

    Dude.

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

What sound does it make if you fart while you're going faster than sound? And will you weigh less afterwards?

Surly after farting you would weigh slightly more. Arse gas is lighter than air, so once expelled the bouyanncy affect will be reduced.
