This scene and the scene at the end of the wedding episode are possibly two of the scenes which have made me laugh the most at a tv show in my life. Pure comedy gold.

Oh poor Mark. Jez did a surprisingly good job as a life coach.

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

Thought this was way out of character for Mark. I know the show made point of the fact Jez had clocked on and Mark hadn't, but it doesn't seem like that would ever happen considering the characters they presented to us over all the past series.

...but Mark can be duped, he so wants to believe that he will be a published author, hence this "out of character" moment, at least that was my take on it. I loved the episode, Super Hans top class again.

I was hoping that they would use this to flip the show on its head with mark owing Jez money and being destitute and Jez bringing in the big bucks from his therapy/life couch routine.

    Skirt of severed dicks indeed

    You dare to strike Scurrcules!?

Love this show, but also found the role switching a bit weird. Did seem to go against everything the characters have done before hand. Even if Mark would get completely suckered in, Jeez wouldn't expand so much energy helping him out, or give that much of a shit. Doesn't matter what job he'd taken on.

    Still, enjoyed the episode.

I've only just got around to watching episode one, but Johnson's speech at the funeral, 'the weak must make way for the strong!', almost made me choke on my coffee!

I like the way they use Geoff and Johnson sparingly, their characters are so appalling that less is more.

Jez didn't seem that out-of-character for me with the whole life-coaching Mark thing, he's a shallow idiot with no idea of consequences, rather than being a cruel one, and occasionally comes through for Mark.

In the same way that Mark's rant at Jeremy's book group last series was also awesome, it's nice that every so often each of them gets something right and shows why they are still mates, otherwise the show would just be depressing. If anything, the rare moments of triumph make the rest of the awkwardness and selfish idiocy feel a bit more believable, for me anyway. I actually thought Mark getting Jez the certificate at the end was quite sweet. 'It's fake, but so are the real ones!' :D

I used to like her but she's become this annoying insensitive, irritating cow with no common sense or regard for what a relationship is. It'll be her ex jimmy saville next week!

Elena is where it is at, she was very hot and funny. See also Big Suze. I do like Dobby though.
Mark (V/O) She's the one! Oh Dobby, let me chew on your weird hair

Great stuff. Didn't find it as cringe-worthy or laugh out loud funny as last week, but still quite brilliant in its subtlety.

I thought it was the 1st one in this series that really hit its stride. The other 2 had great moments, but were a bit up and down. This one belted along and kept the laughs coming, for me.
