Awesome - one of the most consistent long running shows ever.

Can't wait to see where it goes this series :)

Excellent (of course) Johnson was class as ever and Hans was brilliant. As soon as I saw him "Menwithven" popped into my head.

"Duffman is thrusting in the direction of the problem! Oh, yeah!"

    That's so Gerard!

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

That made me laugh a lot.

Special note also for Johnsons speech. I fookin love him, some quotes

    Johnson:
If we succeed, I'm going to be Charles and you'll be my Camilla.

Mark Corrigan: [voiceover] I'm going to be Johnson's Queen! If the public will accept me, I'm going to be Johnson's Queen!

    Johnson:
Just wanted to drop by and say "Have fun." Tonight should be a free-fire idea zone. Watch a DVD, eat some pizza, fuck each other. I'm serious. Fuck a chicken if that's what it takes. Watch a chicken fucking a horse. What? You think the guys who invented Google sat around watching Trumpton?

Mark Corrigan: [voiceover] Oh, he is good. Taboo-busting, semi-incomprehensible pep talk.

"Duffman is thrusting in the direction of the problem! Oh, yeah!"

Johnson: Take a good, hard look at her. What do you see? What do you actually see in her, compared to, say, a supermodel like Gisele? Or any of the other supermodels?

Mark Corrigan: She's... I think she's very... pretty.

Johnson: Come on, look at her arse. Is that the best arse you're ever going to get? Do you stick on that arse? Come on, admit it. She's got a fat arse.

is my favourite Johnson bit. :D

I don't think that there is a bad episode of Peep Show, it's that good. Even after 43 episodes.

Oh see I think the last few seasons have been noticeably worse than the first 4 or 5. But I was pleasantly surprised by this episode, not a Peep Show classic but solid enough and bodes well for the rest of the season.

I've recently re-watched the first three series and the new stuff is just as good as the old stuff in my opinion. There are always one or two slightly weaker episodes per series, but even the weaker ones have proper laugh out loud moments.

I was late to Peep Show and gorged on the first 6 series and they were consistently excellent for me too.

And listen, while we're at it, there are systems for a reason in this world, economic stability, interest rates, growth. It's not all a conspiracy to keep you in little boxes, alright?

It's only the miracle of consumer capitalism that means you're not lying in your own shit, dying at 43 with rotten teeth and a little pill with a chicken on it is not going to change that.

    Now come on, fuck off.

I must admit i found a couple of the episodes in series 7 a little average but i thought it was absolutely brilliant last night and back to its best!

I loved super Hans saying how slow reclining toilet seats look like a sexy wink!  i loved the twix comment and the funeral speeches. I loved mark trying to force-feed Jeremy curry!

But i think my favourite part was the Three-0 walcott bit.  Just class :)

The second episode of Series 7 was one of the weaker ones but still better than most other comedies. The rest of Series 7 was golden (especially when they were trapped in the flat and the Christmas episode).

I did wonder if anyone would take issue with that. While technically both less accurate and more American than 'series' I just get on with the word more. I think I don't like the fact that the plural of series is series. Illogical I know.

    Also pedantic much.

Possibly true, I haven't watched the old ones in a while. In which case though my argument changes to the show hasn't evolved enough and has got a bit stale. Either way, I know I haven't enjoyed the last few series as much.
