with sony waiving the developer fee for psm, i imagine a surge of new games on their way..

one thing that bugs me personally is that you must use windows for the development kit.. my friend is an ace programmer but he refuses to run windows so now, when he was excited about psm before, he's going back to his original plan of making his game for iphone.
    It's only free until September.

Oh, and while I'm here, my update will be posted later tonight. Didn't have enough time this morning.

Indeedy - now downloaded yet. Played Frozen Synapse for the first time earlier - Wow!

Huge apologies for the delay to this week's update. Quite a few games out today. First off is Seeker, a game where you have to fly through an asteroid field to find glowing err pylons before you die. There's also Runner, from the same developer and with the same objective but different graphics.

Then we have Sea Run, an endless runner game with 4 colour style graphics (think Game Boy) by continued PSM supporter, Thomas Hopper. He also has Floribund out this week, a match 3 game with flowers and skulls. Not the most happy of combinations really.

Bike Rider DX also hits PSM this week. It looks sort of like a Runner type of game with collectibles. Apparently it's popular in the mobile gaming circuit (and it better be good because it certainly isn't cheap).

Next we have the "delayed" release of Cytus Lambda, the music rhythm game which came out during E3 week by mistake. See here for more details. This week's most interesting release aside from that is Mononoke Slashdown, a very colourful Japanese style game where you're a ninja fighting hordes of ninjas with a possibly slight Muramasa vibe - and given it's not releasing in Europe any time soon, you might want to check it out.

There's also an update to Nunnageddon out today.

    Games
    Seeker - 0.40
    Sea Run - 0.40
    Runner - 0.40
    Floribund - 0.40
    Bike Rider DX - 4.79
Cytus Lambda - FREE (Chapter 1 free, 9.69 for remaining chapters + PSM excl.)
    Mononoke Slashdown - 3.69

Not really looked in to Jailbreaking (is that the same as Rooting?), but may do a bit of research...
Aye that's what I meant, sorry my terminology is off since I've had my XP set up the way I want for a long time now. Losing my job at the end of August so am holding back on taking out a new contract. I do LOVE the Play as well but it is getting a bit too slow now. :(

I was going to say Sea Run will be the first retro styled PSM game I don't buy but for 40p how can you say no? :D

A couple of you guys better get it too so we can compare scores!

Anyone buy Gun Commando yet? What were your thoughts? It and Stranger's Wrath are definitely the Vita's best FPS'.

Enjoying Mononoke Slashdown a lot. Quite grindy and some longish load times (maybe 5-10 seconds?) but fun to fool around ninja style. Oh, and dodgy English at times as well :S

Is Gun Commando any good. Looks awful from the screen shots!

Would it work with virtual controls??

Yeah it's great, much more old school than current FPS' but if you ever played any of the Duke 3D/Doom era you will love it.

It's probably most similar to Doom in fact! It's an old school corridor shooter, with lots of enemies to kill, the levels are quite 'mazey' as in Doom and there's also boss fights.

Getting runs of 'hits' upgrades your gun visually and power wise too.

@Flying_Pig I'm sure I've read it is, thought I read a post earlier in the thread saying they had played it. Must of been on another device :)

I picked up Haunt the House last night - doesn't strike me as amazing but I think it will be a nice 'relaxing' game to play before bed as there doesn't seem to be any way to fail. The art style is nice and it's probably worth picking up if a title to play for the purpose of relaxation appeals to you.

Just one game out this week. Picbox is a set of nonogram puzzles in one package. The download is free and gives you 24 puzzles, with 80 puzzles in total with the full version.

So that's all until next week - when err Tokyo Jungle (possibly Tactics?!) is out in Japan :S

Later this month, Chaos Rings will also be out apparently.

    Games
    Picbox - FREE

Wow - Rymdkapsel is really, really good!!

Thought I'd have a quick 5 minute go yesterday PM to see what it was all about and played for a couple of hours!!

    Superb!

I'm looking forward to Tokyo Jungle, a lot.

Not sure about Chaos Rings though as that seems like it will be priced highly going by S.E's output elsewhere. Spending over 4, I would want trophies for any current game. It's a good title to have on the service though and will hopefully lead into further Vita support from the company.

Two games out today. First off is MechHit, a brick breaker type of game (can't tell from screenshots alone). Also out today is Tokyo Jungle Mobile - the popular animal survival game from the PS3 in a grid-based format. You can check out a quick playthrough here. Tokyo Jungle is at an early bird price until next Wednesday.

    Games
    MechHit - 1.39
Tokyo Jungle Mobile - 2.39 (will go up in price next Wednesday)

Nice. I'll pick up Tokyo Jungle when I get home about 3. That was a satisfyingly short wait.

Anyone know how big Tokyo Jungle is? Might download it to my XPlay on work's wifi.

Do we know what Tokyo Jungle will go up to next week (i.e. how much is the early-bird discount)?

    @Flying_Pig I'd probably take a stab at 4.99.

The US version for example is $2.99 now and will go up to $5.99 next week.

Same as Murbs, I decided to pick it up after seeing a positive review and couldn't believe the new price! Wish I had followed my temptation to buy when it came out. :(

Hopefully there will eventually be a sale or regular sales once there is a lot of content in the store.
