It's that time again. More new games and apps this week. First off, we have Chiebura, which looks to be a shooting/platforming game. Then there is MineSweeper, which will probably get a cease and desist notice from Microsoft at some point :p.

Sword of Rapier is an action RPG where building combos is the key to success. The game is free for the first level. In the app space, we have SukeLook (a scheduling application) and Hyper Reminder (a To Do application).

There was one other game due out today and would have been the headline game - except Sony advised the developer to wait until E3...

    Games
    Chiebura - £0.79
    MineSweeper - £1.59
Sword of Rapier - FREE (for the first level)

    Apps
    Hyper Reminder - £2.19
    Sukelook - £1.19

    Hold the front page!

Two more games managed to make their way onto the store as a result of a monumental Sony screw up :p.

Cardboard Castle is a neat looking game of puzzles. It's quite expensive for a PSM title though.

However, the headline game I was talking about before is also out (wasn't due online until 26th June :S). Cytus Lambda is a new exclusive to PSM version of the original Cytus rhythm game on iOS and Android. The game is free and comes with 10 songs (Chapter 1).

To get the full collection of songs though, you'll need to chuck in a whopping £9.69 to unlock another 5 chapters plus 10 songs exclusive to the PSM version (Prologue) and all future chapters will be made available at no extra cost. In comparison, the iOS version is about £7.47 to get the game plus 2 extra chapters (Android has the best deal at £1.49 for the full game but I believe it's not got the extra chapters yet - not checked).

Well worth a poke around. It's at least easier to understand than DJ Max Technika Tune, and since it's not out in Europe, it's your best alternative :p. Note that to get either game, you must tap the banner on the PSM store page as they're not in the Latest section.

    EDIT:

Oh, and a quick video of Cytus Lambda from an iPad:

    Games
    Cardboard Castle - £5.49
Cytus Lambda - FREE (10 songs, full game unlock £9.69)

Four new games out this week. First off, Cytus Lambda is now slated to come out on 26th June (as stated earlier, it was released too early).

Cardboard Castle is out officially now. In addition, we have Jail Break, which looks like a typical endless runner game. There's also Blinkin Blobs (which looks like Critter Crunch) and 0War (free to play but remember that free games must have IAP in them).

    Games
    0War - FREE
    Blinkin Blobs - £1.79
Cardboard Castle - £1.59 (anyone who bought it last week - might be out of luck)
    Jail Break - £1.59

Not much this week. The only new game out today is Miko gakkou monogatari: Sanae Episode, a visual novel translated into English with some images that you won't want other people on the train to see (check the screenshots :p).

Oh, and there's finally a calculator app!

    Games
Miko gakkou monogatari: Sanae Episode - £2.59

    Apps
    Calculator - £0.65

I tried the one level demo of Sword of Rapier, it was pretty good, about PS1 quality.

Just got myself a shiny, new HTC One. I've downloaded the PSM app and the few games I already have - Switch Galaxy, Life of Pixel and Samurai Beatdown.

Anything else considered essential? Is rymdkapsel worth £4?

i know it's the one most mentioned but still, i'm having great fun with 'super crate box'..

'ascent of kings' and 'quiet, please' are cool and fun even though they are really short..

my new most favourite psm game is 'ecofish'..
similar style of game as 'cubixx' just done a bit differently

i've been hearing good things about 'haunt the house'. it'll probably be the next one i buy.

Life of Pixel is also a must buy, along with Milk Miners (Is that the name?) and the Wipeout style racing one

There's a surprising amount of brilliant PSMobile titles now.

with sony waiving the developer fee for psm, i imagine a surge of new games on their way..

one thing that bugs me personally is that you must use windows for the development kit.. my friend is an ace programmer but he refuses to run windows so now, when he was excited about psm before, he's going back to his original plan of making his game for iphone.

I'm sure he'll reconsider when he realises how hard it is to make money on iOS.

I'm currently splitting my time between Switch Galaxy and Life if Pixel.

It's such a shame that the precise nature of LoP doesn't really go with a virtual pad.

Jeez, LoP with a virtual pad?! You psycho!

How's the phone though? It's on my shortlist.

Give yourself £5 or ½ gig, you're worth it.

@mrpon - my main challenge is getting to grips with a non-iOS interface. Android feels pretty odd.

But the phone itself is great. Very light and thin. Makes my old 4s look very clunky.

My primary gripe is Blinkfeed (news feed for your home screen), which you can't turn off :(

All of the  PS Mobile games play perfectly and I've downloaded the latest Humble Android Bundle, but not played any of 'em yet :)

Is Passing Time one of these?

Just had a quick bash on the passing mini-game in it, and enjoyed it far more than i had previously.

Jailbreak then you can remove the bloat. Even the stock home screens have been deleted to leave GoLauncher only on my XP. You can delete the standard text interface and just have Swype.

Jailbreaking on Android is for far more than piracy like on ios. (I don't steal games) you don't have to install a new OS or anything risky either.

@H1ggyLTD - no. You get: Aquaria, Organ Trail, Stealth Bastard Deluxe, Fractal, Broken Sword, Frozen Synapse and Pulse.

Not really looked in to Jailbreaking (is that the same as Rooting?), but may do a bit of research...
