Launch Date: Wednesday 3rd October 2012

    What is Playstation Mobile?

A store-front to purchase apps and games for Playstation Certified devices.

    Playstation Whatified?

Playstation Certified devices are devices that are guaranteed to be able to play/make use of whatever PSM has to offer. Example devices include certain HTC phones, Sony's range of Xperia mobile phones and Sony tablets. Vita is also included in this range.

Is there a list of Playstation Certified devices?

List of certified devices (last checked - October 2012)

What regions have Playstation Mobile available?

As of launch: Japan, United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Australia

How do I access Playstation Mobile if...

    ...I have a Vita?
Simply head to the Playstation Mobile section of the Playstation Store (a tab will appear at the top if PSM has launched in your country).

...I have a mobile that is Playstation Cerified? Follow the instructions here

How many devices can I activate for the service?

Up to 3 devices of any combination of Vita/Playstation Certified devices.

How do I activate a device for PSM?

Simply download content to the device.

How do I deactivate a device?

via PSM FAQ on Playstation UK
To deactivate your PS Vita go to Settings > [PlayStation®Network] > [System Activation] and tap [Deactivate].

To deactivate a PlayStation Certified device, select [Menu] in PlayStation®Mobile for Android on the device you wish to deactivate and go to Settings > [Device Activation] > [Deactivate].

Device deactivation is only available on the device itself. Therefore, if your device is lost or broken, you will need to wait for your device to automatically deactivate after 30 days.

If you deactivate your device from your account or delete PlayStation®Mobile for Android from your device and later choose to reactivate the device or re-download the app, you will need to re-download your content from your Download List. Your game save data cannot be retrieved.
    Is my purchase valid forever?

Not quite. You must connect to the Internet once every 30 days at least to keep the device license valid. When the license expires, you must re-activate it using the same account details used to buy the content.

Where can I find out more about developing PSM games?

Playstation Mobile Developer Program. Alternatively, send this person a tweet and he'll point you in the right direction.

    What can I buy?

Here's the content list. I'll try to keep it up-to-date as much as I can but if PSM takes off, I'll need help.

    How can I help?

If you'd like to help keep the content list up-to-date and you're based in the UK, please send me a PM and I will get back to you as soon as I can. There's no rewards for helping, but I'll make sure you're at least credited in this post.

Super Crate Box is well, super!
Played it loads on the iPhone but having physical buttons and good ones at that makes all the difference. Only thing missing appears to be leaderboards and trophies.

Question from the other thread, can I sideload on unsupported devices HA?

EDIT: Well the unsupported SG2 didn't work when I sideloaded the PSM.apk

Give yourself £5 or ½ gig, you're worth it.

    Great work HA.

Another thumbs up for Super Crate Box, the buttons make it so much better.
Also, anyone who liked Kuri Kuri Kururin on the GBA, Twist Pilot is pretty decent, once you start trying to get the platinum times there is a good challenge.

Nevermind, nothing to see here, and I certainly wasn't being a massive idiot.

I would also give a thumbs up to Super Crate Box :). Blooming addictive.

I'll also recommend Fuel Tiracas. Quite frantic, tests your reflexes and costs 40p. Cheapest of the games and one of the highly recommended ones from the developers of Velocity and Coconut Dodge.

I have super crate box on my ipod and it's pretty unplayable. I didn't find it much better on PC with an xbox controller either. May have to file under 'One of those games that just doesn't do it for me but everybody else loves'.

Save yourself the trouble of downloading Everybody's Arcade unless you want to pay €10 for 5 games mini-games.

What store? If you're looking on the Google Play store it's not on that.

There's a link in the OP to get the apk for it, or if you're the trusting sort you can believe me when I say this isn't a virus I'm linking to - Playstation Mobile APK Link. That's what I got wrong earlier in the thread and had to remove - I thought it'd be on the Google Play store.

    @Syrok

On the psp one the home run game has given me many, many hours of entertainment. Is that available through this version?

It's not available in Ireland, only in Japan, United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Australia. On the blog looks as though Ireland could be waiting a while. They have been promising that video store for 3 years.

@Jonsaan If you like playing Klondike in 10 minute bursts you can have hours of entertainment. Otherwise you need to pay money for more.

Had a quick bash at Fuel Tiracas - simple, but pretty decent, for what, 40p?

Just playing Rebel for the first time. Great game with a simple idea of getting the enemy to shoot themselves !

well that's pretty shit especially given how big games are here in comparison to the continent. We're like the UK of Europe ;-)

Edit: oh and im talking about vita, you would think Sony would make it available on that at least.

The Irish PSN seems pretty strange, couldn't pick up Manhunt in the Rockstar sale, and no explanation why it isn't there, and Tomba doesn't seem to be there this week.

    Alright. humble pie time.

Super Crate Box is bloody fantastic.

Seems you need a certain level of mastery to really appreciate it.

I've only just got round to trying this, and it's very disappointing indeed (the overall app, not any specific game). All the PSone games that were there are gone, so all it did once it updated was significantly decrease available content! I've even tried to find the old version, but it seems the games were removed from the store entirely, on Android at least.

There was some good stuff there too. If the new stuff was in addition to that old stuff, it'd have been a great start. Maybe they're relying on the fact almost no-one seemed to know about the old store?

What about Manhunt 2? I've never been able to find it on PSP or Vita, was going to pick it up on the last rockband sale. And never been able to find out why it's missing for me.

I'm still playing loads of Rebel. Great game and suprisingly deep in terms of tactics needed. Well worth a purchase for those undecided yet.
