My workplace has developed a bit of a tradition of doing a spot of fancy dress when long-serving employees leave. I don't know why.

One of our gang has decided to go back to the USA after working with us for almost 5 years, and he's an avid gamer. Cosplay was the result.

He's in the Super Mario costume. And yes, that really is someone who came as Super Monkey Ball, complete with ball.

When our industry average is 12-18 months, I'd say that was long ;)

Yep and he got retweeted by the guys behind Octodad, which he was pleased/amused by. He also won for best costume.

Bloody hell that is commitment, most places you are lucky if you can get more than half the team down to the local.

    Hah, that's great.

The guy on the floor - is he supposed to be from Operation Wolf?

I'm loving the lampshade that has been painted to look like Pac-Man, and the lone 'Sonic'.

I'm really impressed with the character identification going on. The guy on the floor is indeed a grunt from Operation Wolf.

I'm pretty sure there'll be a load of shots going up on Flickr at some point.

What's worrying is that the Monkey Ball wasn't there when they took the photo.
