Good work, well as I say I'll be up for hooking up. I think I have a guild lined up with friends I made during beta. Defo be good if we can get together to do an instance or two :)

Same here. Heh. I could run it, but it wouldn't look that good. What are your specs? They'd have to go a long way to be worse than mine...

    1.5 GHz P4, 32MB GeForce 2 MX 200, 256MB SDRAM, Win XP, DVD-ROM 16x

    /shovels more coal in

So who's got a place in the final beta, then? Is it worth forming an EG Beta guild?

I got two places =) Although I plan to give one of them to a friend of mine or let Stachey try and see if his machine can handle it.

The most vital thing is to hook up on the right server. If you then give your nick here, you add EG'ers on the friends list. However, on PvP servers and I think this applies to all really, you cant make friends with members of the opposite side.

I will definitely be playing the game on release and may dabble with the beta as i talked game into giving me a free disk since play wern't distributing any to pre-orders.

The collectors edition sold out STUPIDLY fast on the blizzard site and was expensive to boot, my hesitation for about 5hrs left me without a copy so I am gutted :( Play pre-order remains at 18 tho so it could have been worse i guess..

Anyhow, if anyone hears of any other allocation of collectors editions becoming available please please please post up as i would still like to get one :)

I'm also like using Goblin Workshop, it's a lot more "friendly" than Thott.

Also Cosmos is most definitely useful.

Also, Whizzo, there is no European release date announced yet.

Edit: I wouldn't mind getting a guild going, but not time to dedicate organising it :-/ Playing Horde in Closed Beta, what is everyone else playing? PvP I presume?

Im playing Horde in the retail on a PvP server, so I will have to experience that more. Will also be spying in on the Night Elves areas ofc =)

If we meet up on the same server, I would be interested to form up parties for groups and instances for the Final Beta.

It's good, isn't it? Very evocative.

By the way, shouldn't their be a law against posting an announcement on the site saying "Final beta will start any time now" and then posting *unrelated news* after it? Everytime I go to the European site and it's got a new news entry I bounce in excitement, expecting it to say that the final beta's begun.

But no. Today's is some piffle about GMs being available 24/7.

IF IT'S NOT RUNNING, WHO CARES!?

    Ahem.

    Very good.

I've heard some of it before on the movie previews, but it's still excellent stuff. It'll need to be if we're gonna listen to it all the time in-game.

/taps foot waiting for Beta confirmation

I'm definitely getting this.Bad thing it releases just in the middle of my exams period.Well, what to do...
    I have a question though.
    Realms is for servers?
I mean one server has one realm? No,right?
And how many servers and how many realms we will have in Europe?
    And....OK,enough for today.

There will be several servers in Europe, and your character cant switch so you have think twice before joining one. One thing is the population, because if its too high you might have to queue to join the server.

Ashenvale is where all the fun is at matty =)

I've the preorder as well, so I'll be joining Final Beta as soon as it's announced - I already have the latest version of the Euro WoW client installed so I'm good to go.

Hope it's soon. I'll probably be testing as many different races/classes as I can during FB.

Doesn't bode well for the Euro support team. First chance I have after final beta, I'm joining a US server.

In what way does having 24 hour GM support not bode well?

Hmm. 2.5 gig download. That's going to take a while.

Also, the new forum is weird.
