    Only had the thing for 18 months.

    When running on its battery there isn't a problem. However, if i plug in the charger and continue to use the laptop, usually within 5-10 mins the laptop will just shut itself off.

    I don't think the charger is to blame, if it was the charger then surely the laptop would simply switch to the battery backup rather than close down.

    Any ideas what the problem might be and what I should do? Any serious advice is much appreciated.

    Could be the the laptop detecting some some duff voltage coming in via the charger and getting the hell out.

    You are cleaning the electricity before it goes into the laptop, right?

    A map is like comparing velocity and speed.

    @Boab

    You might be onto something, i'm living in China right now so I use a UK plug converter. Thing is, its been fine for the past 9 months. Now all of a sudden, its gotten sensitive.
