    Well I enjoy the paranormal table because it's really hard to suck at it and there's lots of flashing lights and flippers on it.

    @Murbal

    I don't know what's what on the vita but ones I like on the 360 are :

    Wolverine, Thor, Biolabs, Ghost Rider, Fear Itself, Hulk

    Ones I found hard to get good scores on were Iron Man and Rome and Pasha.

    My favourite is Sorcerer's Lair. It looks great, the design makes for great playing as does the different missions. Mars is also very good with incredibly stylish graphics that really catch a hardcore scifi/Metroid Prime vibe I really like. Avengers is also quite good. Seems like lazy design at first glance (it's just ramps) but it's much deeper than it looks and watching the coloured balls really makes you appreciate the animation work Zen puts into their ball physics.

    So far these are my favourite Zen tables but really, there are no bad tables, so just start downloading the demo versions of them all. When you find a favourite just purchase the download code. Considering how many hours of fun a single good table can be, the price (around 2 a table or 8 for packs of four) is a bargain.

    So I've played the demo of both on my Vita and enjoyed them. Do I just buy a popular pack of each or is one a pay x to unlock all or buy table by table ?

    Pinball Arcade has 4 tables for the main asking price. DLC packs contain 2 tables each.

    Zen Pinball 2 has either Table packs of 4 except for Plants vs Zombies which is stand-alone (and is cheaper as a result). The client is free but it's only a demo of 4 tables.

    Hope that helps :)

    It's worth noting for Zen 2, that a classic pack of 4 tables is free on the EU store.

    I can find the classic pack but it's the same as the other packs. A free trial and an unlock key for a price. Where do you see a free version?

    459m on PVZ, think I'm done with it. Fun table but design is too simple, it's too easy to start multiball and collect extra balls, plus the missions are pretty dull (save for Going Nuts and the wizard battle which at least require a change in focus). Also the bonus multiplier only being available at random fucks me off.

    That's interesting. When the game initially launched I downloaded and installed both the PS3 and Vita versions, then when I selected "import tables" on the Vita version it came up with the trial AND unlock for the classic pack and both were listed as free. I never had the previous Zen Pinball game and have never purchased any tables or packs but I have the four classic tables and didn't have to pay a cent.

    In case anyone isn't already aware, the 3rd Pinball Arcade DLC pack was released on Wednesday (well ahead of schedule). Contains Gorgar and Monster Bash. Love Monster Bash :)

    Yeah, Monster Bash is great fun. Quite liking Gorgar as well - for a table as old as I am, it's surprisingly playable still.

    Agreed. I'd say that this one was the best of the dlc packs so far.

    Any news on when the Tournaments are going to begin on Pinball Arcade? It still says when we add more tables. There's loads of tables now though.

    Just for 63 million on Funhouse. Love Funhouse!

    Creature From The Black Lagoon is a bit disappointing - playfield is cluttered in places by all the ramps, and the gameplay seems to consist of hitting the left ramp repeatedly then collecting the combo bonus and lighting the multiplier. Plus it has that stuttery framerate issue - albeit not as bad as Medieval Madness - please fix Medieval Madness... ;_;

    Black Knight has framerate issues too, though not as noticable, and remains weirdly addictive :)

    v1.02 of PA is out to support the next packs - Harley Davidson and Taxi tomorrow, then Elvira and No Good Gofers next week. Good to see Farsight finally pulling their finger out with able releases the last couple of months, though a few bug fixes would be welcome .

    Looking forward to payday so I can catch up with the Arcade DLC. Although I've only scratched the surface of what I've already got...

    Bought Avengers for Zen... But I must confess - I bought it for my Nexus 7 rather than the Vita. I will pick up some for the Vita but I like playing seeing the full table and that's naturally far easier on a 7" screen.
