And so here it is. :-)

So to get the little steel ball rolling, what are people feeling about Zen 2 vs Pinball Arcade? I'm really sold on the latter despite it lacking the glitz (and the Hulk) of Zen 2.

PS. This thread might also be a decent place for us Pinball Arcade players to hook up and add new friends, as there aren't too many of us...

I friggin love both games on Vita. If you could mix the two franchises together you would have Pinball heaven.

How does Zen 2 work then? Do you get a free table then pay for others?

I got the four classic tables free when I bought it, it seemed to suggest this meant I had owned them previously, which I did, but that was on 360. So I assume everyone gets those. Then, yes, you pay for packs of tables. Or single tables like PvZ - that was £1.99.
I actually can't remember what the Marvel pack cost, 4 tables for £7 maybe?

And how are people playing Arcade? Vita rotated length ways & touch screen controls? Or conventionally using shoulder buttons for the flippers? I prefer the tactile nature of real buttons but can't settle on a camera I'm as comfortable with as the full table on portrait...

I'm playing standard landscape with touch. I've read about people saying that the touch is laggy but haven't noticed at all myself. If anything it's better than using the shoulder buttons as they seem a bit spongy, although it could just be my vita that's a bit loose.

Also only playing Arabian Nights so far. I actually want to get good at a table at a time rather than just mess about on each one, which is what I always seem to do. It's a fantastic game. Where's the promised DLC?

Zen I have on my 3DS, and the demo of Zen 2 on my vita. Neither compare IMHO, but both still good fun.

My opinion is that Pinball Arcade goes for realism in their games, while Zen goes for the gameplay.

I wouldn't be surprised if you loved one and not the other.

Good thread, I don't usually care about high scores but there's something about pinball that grabs me - have sent out a few FRs, perhaps we should set up an occasional high score challenge? (...alipan doesn't own a Vita, right? ;) )

Arcade is superior. Physics are spot on.

Black Hole is a terrible table, though. The bottom table thingy is stoopid.

    Needs some DLC.

I love both but why oh why is there no Sorcerer's Lair in the Vita version. My favourite table by far. Would be absolute crack on the go.

Well, no. I only have that table on Xbox so just searched for it on PSN and looked in the game's menu selections without finding it. Is it part of some kind of table bundle?

From within the game, you will see the table grayed out. Tap in it. It will offer you the table from the store for £1.99
