@crashVoodoo Depends what you want - 36 seems to be the sweetish spot with contracts so far. I'd want unlimited data which you can get for 36 quid, and the phone's a tenner-ish (buymobilephones / mobilephonesdirect).

I'm in a similar position to the OP, at the end of a 2yr contract with a Desire HD. It's rumoured that the next HTC android flagship will have a 5" 1080p display and also be the next Google Nexus device...
That's what I'm waiting to hear more of...

True, have to jump in at some point ...

just looked on buymobilephones.net and the t-mobile £36 full monty, unlimited data, texts and 2000 mins and £10 for the phone.

The problem i'll probably hit though, is that because you're getting the contract external to t-mo you only get webnwalk basic. This has a max download speed of 300-350 kbps

This happened to me when i got my last one through phones4u. i thought i'd played a winner getting a 3gb data limit (awesome of at the time) for £25pm. had a rant at them via twitter and got an upgrade to the WnW+ which opened up fullspeed.

Reading through their forums it seems as though there are now 3 tiers, WnW Basic, WnW+ and WnW Max although it seems T-Mobile deny it exists

wow, more than i wanted to type there...

From what I can tell, the Full Monty is the Full Monty and different from their older stuff - it was capped at 1mpbs across the board in the early days but that's removed now.

The whole thing is a minefield to be fair though, so who knows - half the people selling it don't even know what they're selling (3G? 4G? 4G that works with EE?) :)

@crashVoodoo I'm on T-Mobile via BuyMobilePhones and am not speed-restricted FWIW

I've just picked up the Note 2. Not had a chance to play around with it yet though. Stupid work getting in the way. Gonna give it a sesh in a little bit.

Sim free or contract and if contract what was the deal if you don't mind me asking.

Three have just put their pricing out and its £33pm plus £69 up front.  I'm looking at that if tmo refuse my upgrade. Apparently they're not doing it as 3g only. They want to pimp the 4g

@crashVoodoo Through Quidco you can get 101 quid back on "The One Plan", or 75ish on the Ultimate Internet wotsit plan.

If tethering is important to you, you're better off on Three. The One Plan includes tethering, but as far as I can tell, The Full Monty from T-Mobile doesn't.

Just a heads up, if anybody has a galaxy note 1 and any kind of aspiration to play Rayman Jungle run, save yourself 2 quid and don't bother.

    Slow as hell.

    Never used quidco before.

    Are they legit?
    Any issues?

Yep, they're legit - though generally if something does track OK you're not gonna get the money quickly, think of it as a payday 4 months down the line. Top Cashback is the other site that does a similar thing. Generally you want a nice cookie / cache-free browser for when you're doing the purchase.

tl;dr - legit, slow, not guaranteed, better than nothing

So finaly got to play with the phone yesterday. After getting home and discovering my sim didn't fit despite me telling them in the store that it's a micro sim and they'd need to cut my sim down. Had to get a new sim but that activated in about 3 hours, not the 48 hours they said it could take.

Wow this phone is incredible!! Battery had over 60% charge when i got it and i played with it for just under 7 hours straight and the battery only got down to 10%. Still not even had a chance to try out all the features yet.

@crashvoodoo It's on contract with 3. The one plan.

I'm itchin to order this and had my finger hovering over the buy button, but the rumours of a possible nexus or 3 is playing on my mind.

My problem is I'm too indecisive. I spend ages pouring over reviews and comments and then come upgrade time I get splinters in my ass from all the fence sitting.

    @crashVoodoo do iiiiiiiiiiittttt! :)

I ordered one late last night, all went through OK, email said expected delivery Weds, tracked on Quidco too.

Missed a call from Three earlier - my credit rating isn't great, though it's a lot better than it was (no more CCJ, all green / everything paid on time of the viewable history) and I'm in the process of getting on the electoral roll - hopefully it's not them phoning to say "get fucked"!
