I'm actually doing some research on this, and would love to know your views on Lidl vs Aldi.

WHERE'S THE BADLY CONSTRUCTED SURVEY?
No for work, and I'm interested in general thoughts rather than putting together a few survey monkey answers!

I love Aldi's Prongles, Suber-noodles and Jappa Cakes.
I like Lidl but I can get more of what I would like to buy in Aldi than Lidl. They even had sea salt for my grinder when I looked the other day. This is useful to me as Lidl is up the hill, whereas Aldi is closer & by the park, so it's a nicer walk.
Our Aldi turned up a year or do ago in between the revamped cricket ground and the posh flats built opposite. It's very subtle, only has 1 bit of signage on the building. Suspect we may get a higher grade of stuff due to the nearby clientele.
A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

I went into an Aldi for the first time recently, and I really was impressed they take the piss with the copying of well known brands. I'm actually surprised they get away with it - some of the packaging is pretty much identical.
