You can remove the word "pizzas" from the title quite happily, really.

Some of their cakes are pretty awesome. There's a lot of alright stuff there really, but the pizzas are not among them. They are indeed terrible, terrible things.

Replace the word Lidl with the word "frozen".

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

Lidl do a carbonara sauce that is quite tasty but without doubt the most horrifically stinking foodstuff you could ever come across. The house is virtually uninhabitable afterwards!

I won't hear a word said against Lidl you heathen. It's way better than fucking... WalMart! Yeah, take that.

How much do the aforementioned pizzas cost?

If you pay more than a quid fifty for a pizza from Lidl's, you've been ripped.

Anyway, I concur on the pizza front. Nasty stuff. Top of their line seems to be last season's Goodfellas.

Some of their Deluxe stuff is great though - the cereals are far better than some of the equivalent major brands.

Lidl's kettle chip knock offs are better than real kettle chips FACT

Also their fresh cooked bread is vunderba. The pizzas do look shit though.

That's not difficult is it? Kettle Chips are awful and inexplicably hard.

They do some round biscuit wafer things with a hazelnut/chocolate creamy thing in the middle, top notch if you have a case of the munchies. Also can't fault them on their beers, 1 pint bottle of baveria is 99p and tastes a million times better than the knats piss chemical fosters/stellar shit that's brewed over here.

Indeed, Bavaria is top notch (though it's not an own brand as far as I know, but a proper brand in Holland they've managed to get a few hundred cases of cheap). Speaking of their own-brand booze, their dark rum is quite nice, although their brandy is a little harsh.

I don't live near a Lidl store - a shame, because I used to love their yoghurts.

I wouldn't even dare look at a Lidl, let alone set foot in one.

I have a Lidl's opening about a half mile from me by Xmas, they've taken over an old car dealership warehouse.

Any competition here is good though - the only supermarket we have here for miles is a Morrisons. They'e enjoyed a quite healthy monopoly around here after the Eurospar went tits up (having bought out the Somerfield).

And you've no idea how awful Eurospar were. Truly, horrifically dire. Shot-dated goods at full price. They really didn't seem to understand that fruit and veg sold in bulk needs to be able to keep longer than twenty-four hours.

    And you're reading this why?!

I picked up a few bits from Iceland, earlier today. Crispy Pancakes! I thought they'd been outlawed.

I'm pretty sure that they get the voice-cast (tavern wenches et al) from the Fable games to work in those places, too.

The doughnuts are excellent value too at 4 for a £1; basically the same doughnuts that Tesco charge £6 or £7 for 12.

I've quite liked the pizzas I've had from lidl. obviously a fresh pizza is going to win hands down, but frozen pizza is always handy to have in the freezer..

Iceland's own make are awful though....

I've become rather fond of lidl lately... I love their "luxury fruit&nut muslei" it really is good... And some of their chocolate biscuits are pretty yummy...
