Some let me recap this. The Lumia 920 is a great piece or hardware but there was no OS reveal, no date, no price, no carrier availability announcement. And they want people to not buy an iPhone 5?
    Good luck with that Nokia/Microsoft.

Yup good sum up. I have no idea what they're playing at.

    Come and get it cumslingers!

... because you'll be surprised how frustrating it was knowing a Windows Phone could not offer popular apps like Angry Birds Space, Draw Something, Instagram, Words With Friends (to name a couple of examples).

Maybe YOU do not 'give a shit', but those are the kind of apps that have been downloaded 100,000,000+ times on Android and iOS and when you go onto the Marketplace and find that they are not there, it is a problem.

The Nokia 920 is absolutely wonderful though...!

The ease of app creation MS have going across Windows 8/RT/Phone will make lack of popular apps a thing of the past, it's going to explode, few hundred million customers in a year, devs won't ignore that, exclusives aside. They are probably stockpiling them right now. Actually maybe not, SDK isn't out until next week.

Some nice features, Nokia are on the right track. Hard to do much with phones now. Be interesting to see if Apple bring much to the table, Nokia have done well with the camera.

I found the bashing of other smartphone cameras very ironic considering the shit that they put on existing Lumias. All these terrible photos they showed could have easily been taken with a Lumia 900.

Those photos looked far from terrible... and I have an 800, I know terrible. :(

Then comes along the 930 that laughs at the 920's worse camera.

I do like the idea of the charging pad but then I think, be a tight bastard and just use the plug charger.

The ones they took in the dark with a "competitor phone" were terrible. You couldn't see anything except black shadows. These could have been taken with a 800 or 900.

They don't sell phones, pricing, usability and cool factor does.

I hope the Lumia 920 is no more than 499 whereas the 820 is attractively priced at 299 ... SIM free, of course!

I pay a pleasant sum of 10 a month on giftgaff (250 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited web) so, I would gladly recycle my current phone and happily pay for a SIM free Lumia 920 ...

    ... : )

Edit - Apparently that's the guy filming both of them. The angles don't match.

But anyway, how are they going to get a van on the swing?

Ben the PC Guy wants to "capture little kids in motion" :o

I was hoping they'd announce availability for this today, I've been sitting on an upgrade since March!

They've completely ruined the brilliant style with the gloss.

It's probably just on a rigid pole in front of her so. Van's aren't the only way to stabilise a camera you know :)

Supposedly, the black and grey are matte-like moreso than 'glossy' due to the neutral colour compared to the strikingly bright red and yellow models.

The image stabilisation does look impressive, though I've only just got myself an S3 with a little more actual info they might have tempted me... But as someone else said, this could all be forgotten about in a weeks time as nice as it does look.

The iphone 5 will be revealed and have sold millions before they even annouce a launch date / show an in depth look at windows phone 8.....

WP8 isn't finished, a preview of the SDK releases next week.

They are going to reveal more about WP8 at some future event, when that will be, who knows.

As for the iPhone, it is going to sell amazingly well anyway. At least Nokia and MS can have a steady build up to release, there is enough people to sell phones to. I don't think people are going to miss the Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 advertising.

Nokia had a scene setup in the dark to test the Lumia 920's low light camera performance. A vase with flowers was set inside a dark box with a port big enough for you to get a smartphone inside. Without using a flash or a tripod, low light performance of the 920 was pretty impressive:
