@Mageme I like it very much. Some very minor bugs on 8.1 but that's due to the Nokia Cyan update not being out yet. Battery life is amazing, specially coming from the 920. I can tether my iPad all day, use the phone and still have battery remaining when I get home.
Considering you can find these for around 300, I still consider them to be a much better choice than the 930.

Around 300? For that I could be tempted to grab one while I wait for McClaren...

@Ror1984 That's what I paid for mine on eBay, was pretty much new. Saw quite a few go for that price and I've seen it before on Amazon for 350 new. I'll be at the Xbox event with mine tomorrow if you want to check it out.

Yeah, I had a look on Amazon after I saw your post and saw one for ~330. Quite tempting at that price.

Cheers for the offer mate - though I'm not 100% sure I'll be able to get up there tomorrow now.

It is 290 on Smartfonestore.com for a recon. Only in black thourgh, I would want a funky one.

But the 1520 is so god damm big and heavy, I used to have a Desire that was 160g and I found that annoying to be honest it banged around in my side pocket.

My current phone is 133g and that seems fine, so 200g might be unbearable.

Can anyone tell me why I can't edit some of my Excel spreadsheets in OneDrive on my phone (Lumia 920, pre-8.1/Cyan or whatever the heck it is I'm on now)??

They're not too fancy or anything (for home use, not corporate); few basic formulas (IF conditional, sumif, etc), frozen panes, that sort of thing. Nothing that should lead to compatibility issues surely? Shouldn't a native Windows Phone Office app be enterprise-ready and then some anyway?? o_O

@Hacienda Obviously it should work, but I'm not at all surprised not all Excel files work flawlessly, they can be tricky files when something goes a little off.

Have you tried to usual copying and pasting the cells into a new worksheet and all that?

No, I haven't, seems like it's just feature incompatibilities.

Honestly Microsoft, you shoot yourselves in the foot so needlessly...

Does anyone know how to soft-reset in 8.1? It used to be power button + volume down, but it doesn't seem to work anymore.

Actually, it's probably me being an idiot - the issue I have is the power/lock key not responding, so that's probably why it's not working.

Maybe I should just pull the battery out of my Lumia 920. Oh. Wait.

Can you not disable the lock screen on the 925? Annoying when watching a video or listening to a song that's longer than 5 minutes.

I can on my 920, I can't see why it should be different on the 925 (timeout options go up to 30 minutes and then 'never'). Also, why do you need the lock screen off to listen to music..?

The lock screen option on my 925 only goes up to 5 minutes too. I've never tried or made it past 5 to be honest...

    For when I'm using YouTube.

Huh, that is weird. I wonder why it's different on different models.

Baihu, I thought that might be what you meant. Doesn't the audio play under lock? Are you using the 'official' app? As I think that's just a shell for the mobile site, isn't it? I use SuperTube for Youtube stuff on my phone, but I'm pretty sure most if not all the 3rd party clients allow audio under lock.

I use YouTube HD and it doesn't work when the screen is locked.

I've just checked that app on the store and it lists audio under lock as one of the features (unless I'm looking at the wrong one!). Have you checked the app settings? Sometimes you have to enable it.

Not seen an option for it.

That's a shame. Is it a free/paid app? Could be that it's only available on the paid version if that's the case.

No the paid version just gets rid of ads and download limits.

I guess you're SOL then :p I guess if it bothers you that much you can always switch to a different Youtube app. Which will, of course, only solve one of your issues.

I'm still finding it strange that the 925 has such short timeout limits.

EDIT This is what I get when I go into lock screen timeout in settings.

I use Metrotube and I get audio under lock, think it's enabled by default. Mytube should have it too, both these apps were free not long ago.

Have you got 8.1 preview installed? My wife's HTC that we put 8.1 on looks like yours but mine (1020) looks completely different and only goes up to 5 mins.

@Nazo I have, that'll be it then! I've always just left it set to 1 minute, so hadn't even realised it had been changed in 8.1.

I saw a decent enough deal on the EE site for it yesterday (29/mo for 1000 min/unlmtd texts/1GB 4G data), and was quite tempted, but I think I'm going to wait.

We'll see how long I hold out.

I'd say hold out on it. It's gonna sell like crap and be discounted soon, no doubt.
