    That Ed is one tough cookie, thought I'd combine my wanting to get rid of him with some achievements so went off to take out some infestations and planted a mine at the front door and stood on it, all zombies dead and yet Ed survives :(

    Then I see a big-un and try to run it down (is it required for the run down all special zombie types achievement?) car blows up and so I take Ed armed with a table leg to beat some sense into it, Ed is now in two pieces :D

    Ed has become one of my best characters and is great in a fight. One of the women who I keep having to take on a walk due to fear is going to get sacrificed soon enough.

    You have to kill one of each special to get "Get Out Of My Dreams": bloater, feral, SWAT, Big Un. Use a strong truck, run over the Big Un while it's still down to kill it.

    @sanctusmortis cheers, I'll give that a try. 4x4 or an old pickup good enough the 4x4 seemed to survive a good few bashes but he got up too quick for me to reverse and drive over again at speed.

    If you spot a infestation does is mark it on your map with the bloody red building everytime?

    Im getting the exact same bug was starting to think it was just me. They have also admitted the patch hasn't fixed the infestation bug and we will have to wait for patch 2.

    Ah. That sucks, but great response from the devs.

    Luckily it seems that some of the patch worked, namely people not dying via simulation. I can live with missing people as long as I can find them again after a working patch is released. I hope my issue (infestations not showing up once discovered through vantage points) is addressed in the patch as well.

    They're doing a very good job of staying in communication with people, and patching fast. Good to see a success story like this on Live, with all the other shit being thrown around right now...

    I have noticed that zombies still sometimes fall through floors. They get out eventually though!

    In the meantime, is this costing them $40,000 an update, as was rumoured when Fez wasn't updated? Mind you, Fez didn't sell as well as this is doing... ;)

    Seems to be the norm to put out a broken game ffs. Quick to take your money then O dont worry we got patches incoming! It's rearly not good enough and worse they get away with it everytime.

    Now come on! They're a tiny (20 man IIRC) indie studio. The game's damn solid - only issues I've ever had are some "floor zombies", the odd physics hiccup launching my car in the air and the infestation warnings - and they're doing far more about it than EA ever does about its games. Sim City has a MASSIVE team and it's STILL broken. At least these guys are trying to sort it!

    Y'know, the other day I managed to earn over two thousand influence in a day. That astounded me. I literally emptied every player character's inventory and restocked them from scratch with each having 3 meds, 3 snacks, 2 weapons, a gun, and at least 30 rounds of ammo. Hardly dented my influence.

    Cool. I wanna do that. I make sure they always have a gun and melee weapon at least.

    More than happy to keep playing while I wait for the patch as long as nobody dies as a result of the bugs. I'm still getting somewhere and finding missing people missions don't take long. My warehouse base is looking great. Tonight I'll start stocking up on resources thanks to the increased resource limits the warehouse offers. I'll keep looking for infestations regardless.

    It's a shame stocking up with resources is so tedious. Why can't I throw some bags in the back of a car, or take along another character for extra capacity?

    You can radio someone to come collect. Also some little scamp on Youtube had several bags on the back of a truck.

    Yup, hold RT and press RB. It pops up as a toll tip sometimes, and a few times when you're given bags for completing missions.

    Well that's me done until the patch. Ed is gone forever, and someone needs a talking to for fear every five minutes.

    Hope they get it right soon. I reckon I'll be starting over either way.

    Nice! Trying that later. I can finally clear the first town without hours of tedious driving.

    Still annoying that you can't just take along another character for help whenever you like, seems like a really obvious thing. Have the devs never seen what happens to people in horror movies who go off on their own?

    I tend to use people I've rescued to act as my guard while I root around in locations, it'd be really nice to be able to say "pick that up please."
