    Looks like the first proper open world zombie survival game on xbox just hope they can pull it off

    It's coming to PC to, looks interesting....although there are whispers it's gonna be one of these horrid Windows 8 exclusives MS now seem to be pushing when they are involved with a game (bizarre really considering how young 7 is) so not getting too interested just yet as I won't be moving to W8.

    For multiplayer peeps there is supposedly "Class 4" coming to which is an MMO version.

    Yeah for pc too but it's been specifically designed for xbox and they only decided recently to port it over to pc as well.

    Also that windows 8 thing sucks they would lose out on alot of sales

    Well it's not confirmed yet but the dev wouldn't say either way to RPS recently, hopefully not as the trailer shows a quite promising game and as you say it would certainly hurt their PC sales.

    Excellent news on W8, it would be stupid anyway but when they wouldn't confirm either way people were worried...probably because RPS raised an eyebrow at it :)

    So now that crap is out of the way I can get more interested! REALLY sounds good from those vids and a lot of good ideas coming through. Does need a little polish like the first vid says but they've got a while to iron out any kinks.

    I like really the idea that sound attracts them hopefully it will affect how you deal with things, do you go for those food supplies at the risk of attracting a horde of brain munchers or try somewhere else?

    Roll on next spring!

    Game is looking great for arcade game with what looks like a big map.

    Melee combat looks like it needs alot of work though but they've got plenty of time to sort that. Can't wait for this!

    Yeah I'd imagine so the dev said in that video they havent finished textures in that part of map yet.

    I'm not watching it any more than the couple of minutes I've seen. I want to play it for myself.

    Looks way too arcadey for my liking. I watched a 30 minute walkthrough on YouTube. There's one bit where a woman has 3-4 zombies on her so she uses her arse as a weapon.

    Looks like I'll have to wait for when DayZ is released on PS4 in order to fulfil my survival horror needs. This looks more like The Sims with zombies.

    Not MP Yet. They announced that this was just the first stage , a DayZ/MMOstyle approach will be made in the future. Using this game as a sort of stepping stone testing the game out on a smaller scale getting feedback then stepping it up in the future.

    So next gen will hopefully get the MMO version, game is published by MS Studios and Undead labs was founded by a head programmer of WoW. If it all works out well this could be a great exclusive game for the next Xbox

    I think I might buy it just to fund the intended 'MMO' that is supposed to follow.

    I wish they'd stop calling them MMOs. It's probably going to have about eight players.

    In the couple of minutes I did see last night, a character ascends a tower in order to mark out points of interest that they can see from that vantage point, that presumably then get placed on the map. The whole thing had a distinctly Midwinter vibe to it, and that's probably going to be reason enough for me to have a go at it, although I'll be sure to make use of XBLA having free trials for everything, to ensure that it isn't actually a giant, clucking Turkey.

    @fletch7100 If i remember right they flat out said no MP for this but their next project is supposed to be online.

    This grand sense of scale may seem hugely ambitious even by retail standards, making it initially puzzling why this is an XBLA game. The reason for this is because Undead Labs initially conceived State of Decay as an MMO, but decided to try it out on a smaller scale to test its systems and mechanics in a single-player game before implementing them on a massively multiplayer basis.

    I have been looking forward to this for a while as I have yet to see any zombie game cover the base building and supplies side of things. Hopefully it will give this one a little more to it.
