So was there really only 1 competitor from North Korea? I guess maybe they eat the disabled or something.

What's with the midgets as well? Are there special midget events? Just trying to wrap my head around that. It just seems there could be a special midget games as they could pretty much do everything.

Are morbidly obese people eligible to compete? Would love to see them do the 10m diving.

I know this probably sounds like right-on-PC-behaviour, but watching blind judo was more entertaining than the Olympic Judo. Essentially because in the latter the athletes can see the attempts at trips and throws coming so it's 90% dodging and avoiding and looking for an opening, which is a bit boring after a while. Blind judo is more action-packed.

Morbidly obese 110m hurdles with super slomo replay.

Although the diving would have to clinch it. Close second: blind clay pigeon shooting.

LB, you really are a massive geek.

The only difference is that they start 'gripping lapels'. After that they're doing all their dodging, tripping, throwing and holding intuitively. Like using the force...

They should spin them around furiously before hand, for an added element of fun.

I've ended up "gripping lapels" after a particularly powerful curry.

I've been sitting listening to presenters yammer on channel 4 and just realised I can watch each sport on separate channels.

    Sky
450 Supposed to be Athletics but just a menu.
451 GB vs Germany Wheelchair Basketball. (Really close at the moment)
    452 Swimming

    Virgin is 550-552
    Freesat is 150-152

Damn...was watching with the children and explaining that all the swimmers could whup our arses in the pool, and explaining about the different disabilities and the ranking...when a comedy dwarf burst out of a door and practically ran across the pool side, provoking much hilarity and a discussion on how ace a dwarf-only Olympics would be. The wife wasn't impressed :)

We were watching the mens 50m something something swimming, as there was a local lad in in, just 15 I think. He was half the size of most of the blokes in it, I can't see how it was fair. He has to swim twice the distance!

Wheelchair Basketball IMO is roughly a 1000 times more exciting to watch than normal basketball!

It was a little depressing earlier watching a Brazilian guy with no arms and one leg streak across the pool about twice as fast as I could.

These breaks are going to get annoying though.

Slap bang in the 4th quarter with 3 minutes to go? Seriously?

It's tied and there's less than 20 seconds on the clock, I'm surprised they've not cut to commercials.

C4 have got to buck up their ideas because they've been shit so far.

Bit of improvement needed there. Britain were taking way too many aimlessly hopeful shots towards the end of the 4th and in overtime. Germany were working opportunities far better.

Why can't dwarves lift weights in the normal fashion? Plus in blind cycling, tandem, I'm presuming the partner can see? Why aren't Chris Hoy and Victoria Pendleton roped in?

Not sure Olympians are allowed to act as guides. Wouldn't want Usain Bolt guiding the blind 100m for Jamaica, would we? :)

Apparently in the guided events, if you're judged to have been pulled by your guide, you can get disqualified.

Cubby didn't know how to turn off sigs!
