Winning on Arms Race with no Cheats or mods. As the review says... It's a skill game.

Decided to stop being a tight basterd and just buy the bloody game. Wont be getting a pc anytime soon and sure ill get my ten pounds worth.

Like any game given time and patience sure i will get better. I am encouraged i had no lag issues on my trial time so hopefully that will continue.

Yes pc may be prefered platform but surely better to have people playing and enjoyjng no matter the platform. Plus a 400 quid plus pc is not an option at the moment.

Great game, reminds me of Rainbow six 3 on the old xbox before they turned it in to a shit cover shooter, but won't be buying, I can see it being abandoned when COD and Halo4 arrive in a few months.

Played this most of last night, had some great matches. Good communiation and got my heart racing lole no other game can.

Last remaining terrorist, killed 3 of the other team set the bomb and then defended against the last man to blow it up....simply brilliant.

Found tweaking the sensitivity greatly helps, never as accurate as a mouse but by no means impossible. Actually find it encouraging that i seem to be better at this then games such as battlefield.

Haven't played CS for a long long time so was happy to see I was still OK at this. I have to admit I'm extremely close to buying his even though I've got CS:Source on the PC, I just seem to prefer fps's more on the Xbox, must be because the playing field is a little more balanced.

Yeah you are exactly right! Reminds me massively of Black Arrow.

saw at least two xim users today, do microsoft allow that kind of thing on its console? Its extremely easy to detect someone with mouse while spectating.

Quick question - How do you know you saw them? Not trolling, just intrigued.

Do the mouse adaptors really work that well then? In my naivety I just assumed they'd be gimped in terms of mimicking analogue stick motion.

I am skeptical as to how many people use them, must be in the single digit %.

Thing is, back when I used to play CS on PC not a single night went by where someone somewhere wasn't calling someone else a haxoring aimbot user :-/

Got to be a far cleaner experience on console, surely?

by looking at their POV while spectating, with mouse users, you can easly see the fast, acccurate sighting that analog stick just can't mimic.

Picked this up and having a great time learning the maps against bots. Would like to know why my controls are all unmapped at the start of EVERY new game though. I've never once customised them. Feels a little like Left4Dead and Payday on the PS3.

Agreed sinking so many hours into this. Yes mouse is better but its a pretty level playing field and anyone really good will be called a cheat anyway. Thats counter strike.

I'm still as useless as I ever was. The game is very good at making you think you're being accurate, when in reality you're not hitting anything. Makes for a more frustrating experience when compared to more recent FPS series.

Loving this the more I play it. Wasn't sure about the new modes to start with, but think I like them for the quick action fix now.
  • Deleted user 31 August 2012 17:55:18
I haven't really tried any other modes yet, classic has been keeping me hooked. Anyone up for teaming up at some point?

I'm not the best, and my internet is hit and miss for online gaming but I'd be up for teaming with anyone, my friends are sticking to CoD, Halo, BattleField3 etc. it appears. I don't mind which mode to play on also.

I'll add you mate and if you see me on CS feel free to join me.

I would join you guys, but I normally meet up with an old friend who now lives in Canada. It means I play at all kinds of hours during the night, so i'd probably not even see you lol.
