    I think i remember ea bigging up the fact this and need for speed are both same as ps3 - maybe at Gamescom. Have no link or evidence to substantiate.

    Is this really coming out at the same time as the xbox/ps3 versions? The lack of solid info so close to release is worrying.

    Well it would be staggering change of heart from EA if it was indeed the same as the ps3 since EA are yet to put any up to date version of FIFA on any portable system.

    Massively underwhelmed by this (despite ShopTo's amazing delivery).

    Same clunky menu interface (not touchscreen), minor speed improvement, but nothing else from what I can tell.

    Was I daft to expect different?

    yes because it's EA and they never bother putting any effort into portable versions, better off waiting for what konami come up with.

    Gutted. Really hope the vita gets support in general. This generation seems to be the first that has had devs making design compromises, or in Konamis case, not even releasing a version because it's not economically viable.

    I hope this isn't as a result of the dominance of the IPad or phone games.

    Sony aren't really helping the Vita at all.
    They should be really pushing EA to produce a version of FIFA that has parity with the console versions.

    Because they haven't means I won't buy the game, less Vita sales, no effort put into the next incarnation and this pattern will repeat itself.

    I feel it really is Sony's responsibilities to "engage" these companies to put the time and effort into the Vita otherwise it is guaranteed to fail hard if the current pattern continues.

    Yeah, it's a pity. They didn't really support the PSP either. Wasn't it Monster Hunter that saved that.

    Its a a laugh of sadness surely? i mean I didn't buy Vita Fifa due to it being 11 reskinned, I REALLY want a good fully featured version on the Vita (it's clearly capable of it), and its a real shame we'll not get one imo.

    when i heard that there would be no PES, no FM and only shit versions of FIFA and other games that i might buy like Ass Creed, Resistance, COD and Killzone, i figured the vita was dead to me.

    I love the console and the build but without support its just an expensive bit of kit.

    And i dont really want to play smartphone games on it.

    Yep, I love it too but increasingly thinking i may need to move it on while it's still worth something.

    I'm going to wait to see what PS plus for Vita offers to make my decision

    Yep, dark times for proper portable gaming ahead methinks.

    Edit: except 3DS if you want to play endless JRPGs and intermittent Nintendo titles.

    I'm really frustrated by this. Good job I never sold my FIFA in readiness for the new one!

    I'm half tempted to sell the console now. I really do love my vita but not so sure I want to keep it and as I said half tempted to sell it now while its still worth something. Decisions decisions.

    Very disappointing from EA.

    Thinking, can anyone who owns this confirm that you can play two (or more) against each other on an ad hoc wireless basis or is it still on line versus only?

    That could be a deciding factor for me. Lacking in the old version

    Was at the EG Expo yesterday and I couldn't believe that Game were charging £44.99 for the Vita version and only £42.99 for PS3/360!

    Hopefully, my local Asda as some...

    I tried the game at the Expo and didn't notice any big differences compared to my old Vita version. The framerate might be a bit more stable but I'm not completely sure. Dribbling seemed different though so I don't think it's running on the Fifa 11 engine any more. Whether it's the one from 12 or 13 I can't say as I haven't tried 13.

    Graphically faces might be a bit more detailed but nothing massive. So far I can't see myself upgrading as the differences aren't big enough.

    I've just seen the Amazon reviews for this: it's shocking what EA have done. Absolutely screwing over the punters and I bet Sony will be massively pissed as well. This does not bode well for the platform.

    Not sure sony will be that surprised, they fucked over the PSP versions of FIFA and EA don't seem to be in any hurry to change that on the vita.

    I'm not joking when I say if you want to play a football game on the vita go buy PES2012 if you can look past the obvious shortcomings of it being a psp title it's a lot of fun. I suppose there's also football manager but I can't remember if that's on the store.

    Just received FIFA Vita in the post from a friend. I'll let you know what I think, especially comparing it the last version already available.
