OH BOLX. Ok, I didn't realise that.

Well if its done as half hearted as COD vita, a grown man will cry.
Well, actually Cambridge worked on KZ2 and 3 pretty significantly so I wouldn't worry.

    @bitch_tits_zero_nine

    Is it completely shit?

I got it on auction and should have it on Monday. Only paid 20 pounds, but I still feel like I've paid too much according to reviews.

The novelty of having an FPS that functionally works counts for quite a bit, so while you probably wouldn't accept it on a main console it can still be quite fun.

The campaign is small sections of gameplay presented like challenges, and tbh I can't get past the second one, because there's a time limit.

I wouldn't say it's worth full price, but it's still Call of Duty at the end of the day.

KZ2 was you playing as a fat man with a gun, slowly stomping your way across the greyest planet in the known universe, shooting the same Space Nazis over and over again.
Yeah, I enjoyed it all the same. The slowslog through enemy lines built up to the dramatic (and excellent) final push into Visary's Palace. Then there was a shit boss fight.

KZ3 was all awful though. Functionally a better shooter, but a clusterfuck of bad cutscenes and set pieces, with a cover system that didn't give you cover and bullet sponge baddies galore.

If Cambridge Studio are the same ones that worked on LBP PSP I'd expect this to be up to snuff. It's probably the a game I'd buy if I had a Vita though, rather than a game I'd buy a Vita for.

it would be a nice touch if sony got the remote play to work on the other killzone games in time for release.

but then it would be nice if sony got remote play to work across the board on all games

    Resume :

    - 8h of solo campaign + 3 replay mode Demolition, Precision and Covert in each level, so i guess this is going to be 15-20h at least in solo ( depend on your difficulty level and skill )

    - new AI mechanic adapted to infiltration
    - Graphics closed from Killzone PS3

So...BEst FPS portable ever on Vita ?

BUt still no game based on people...

Playstation Blog have done a good interview with Guerilla Cambridge and they have a behind-the-scenes video.

It really does look excellent. Was pleasantly surprised with this part of the interview too :

PSB: How easy was it getting the Killzone game engine up and running on the system?

PJ: Its optimised in a lot of locations but the core AI system is based precisely on Killzone 3. Weve had to replace a few of the audio and rendering systems but the back-end leading into them is pure Killzone engine architecture. Weve also got certain things in the renderer that are unique to our system weve added reflection mapping on the floor and particle systems can actually be lit as well.
There may be a few areas weve had to tone back a bit, but were pretty convinced that weve come up with something that touches most of the technical features from the main Killzone engine.

Is it just me or does the AI look absolutely atrocious? Shooting anywhere but at you while you stand in the open firing back. Really want this to be good but I'm not as convinced by these videos as some of you.

It's not uncommon for devs to make the AI completely retarded during demonstrations.

KillZone has always had pretty decent AI.

    Hated, adored, never ignored.

Agreed, loved KZ2 - which is why those videos don't look so good to me.

I agree. Best AI in a shooter that I've played, enemies flank, use grenades (not spamming them like cod) and generally just make themselves tricky to kill

That looks good for a current console game let alone a portable title.
