Looks like the classic Killzone gameplay combined with some excellent visuals. Really looking forward to this now, especially seeing as Guerilla are making it themselves and not subbing it out to an inferior developer.....

    / glares at COD

This is probably a collaboration between Guerilla and Sony Cambridge. Very much looking forward to it.

The graphics in that vid are amazing - almost looks real! Some of the character models looked duff, though. ;)

the trailer got me rather excited for this one. Was panicking expecting it to look half arsed and rushed, but fortunately it's not been handed to Nihilistic...

Just to clarify, Sony Cambridge are developing this title, having been rebranded under the Guerilla Games name, as opposed to the Amsterdam team, who are working on something separate.

Very much looking forward to this but reckon we'll be in for a bit of a wait...

Yup, they've got a good team working there. A lot of them have previously worked on Killzone 2 & 3 so they're not exactly coming to the franchise without prior experience.

More information from that Polish game magazine.

The statement that does it for me is :

"The game is essentially portable Killzone 3, looks better than Uncharted: The Golden Abyss and runs stably even with a lot of combat kicking off in the games wide areas."

If thats even remotely true, this could be a system seller.

Well, we have it on good authority that the game is going to look good, plus the fact that Guerilla are making it themselves is a huge draw.

I really like the concept too - basically having you play as a rebel fighter who can do jobs for the NSA and the Helghast, depending on who pays the most. You then take that money to upgrade your weapons, armour, squad mates, etc.

Judging by the trailer, it seems there could be some sort of morality system too, where your likely asked to do unpleasant jobs like kidknapping children and you have to decide if its worth the payout.

If im on the right lines, the game could combine classic killzone gameplay with some fresh new ideas - could be something really special.

I hope this is brilliant too. I unfortunately doubt it will be a system seller though. Kids just don't care about KZ - its not a well known brand. The Japanese also don't care about FPS.

Don't get me wrong, I'm really looking forward to this but I doubt it will be the much touted 'killer app' the Vita really needs.

Dont under-estimate how popular FPS's are : the Vita has only served up two so far (COD and Resistance), both from the same developer and both absolute shite (apparently).

If KZ:M comes along and gets excellent reviews, i can see it selling well. Maybe not a "system seller" but it will gather a lot of interest.
