    As I recall, some people have a natural level of alcohol in their bodies which is why they can't set the level at 0. Also, there's the issue of the time it takes to get back to the base level after a few pints. As I recall, some people have a natural level of alcohol in their bodies which is why they can't set the level at 0. Also, there's the issue of the time it takes to get back to the base level after a few pints. Apparently it takes a couple of hours for the average liver to covert the alchohol in a pint of beer into non active products which can then be filtered out by the kidneys, but it wouldn't surprise me if that's a maximum rate and the process slows as the percentage of alcohol in your blood approaches 0.

    Didn't they reduce the drink drive limit a few years ago, to try to eliminate the myth that 'just one' is okay.

    Yeah, if you look at the limits now and then the actual units in booze, it essentially already is against the law to have a drink and drive.

    Because it makes financial sense, also. Bribery, in effect.

    Any idea how far we are ahead of India, and how much we owe them? Growth is secondary.

    So one country isn't richer than another in the 'real world'?

    @LeoliansBro that synopsis makes no sense in reality.

    @LeoliansBro yes. giving money to a country which has a growth rate of 7.5% in comparison to England having a 0% growth rate, seems very plausible as to why we should give them more money. /sarcasm
    Fuck off. This isn't even consistent with ypur normal garbage.

    I have a million pounds and next year I will have another million pounds. You have a hundred pounds and next year you will have £110. So I have 0% growth and you have 10% growth, therefore all's fair?
    You've changed. 3 years ago or so, you'd have argued that fairness has nothing to do with anything.

    @MrTomFTW the reasoning.

    India Vs England

    "Contrary to what many perceive as a poor country (due to its uncontrollably booming population) India is a stable country having the fourth biggest GDP (PPP) worldwide. It is even bigger to Englandís own value of the same metric. However, England edges over India in terms of nominal GDP for it boasts a $2.2 trillion value as compared to Indiaís $1.2 trillion."
    GDP PPP
    How odd. The wiki shows India as having the 129th biggest GDP PPP.

    India is home to over 300 million of the world's poorest people. The gulf between the poor and the rich (and India has some of the world's richest people) is possibly the greatest in the world.

    Sure they have a greater growth than us, and sure their GDP looks good on paper but I'm sure all the people living in absolute poverty in the slums really give a shit about all that.
