We've got two years for flying cars to be invented otherwise Back to the Future 2 has LIED TO US.

Didn't one of Marty McFly's kids have some kind of VR goggles?

I'm lucky enough to be one of two people in the world to have a copy of this:

..the other being the developer (above). It's by far the most immersive demo I've played yet and the most convincing sense of actually flying in a game I've ever experienced. Basically - think Superman Flying Simulator. :)

RoadToVR.com will have a full playtest video from me and and interview with Kelly the developer too next week.

My worldview requires me to believe that bob is morbidly obese, severely underpaid and never, ever gets laid.

Played on one yesterday and it was very impressive the controls of that space game were like awesome just looking around the cockpit was very impressive as was the rolloalercoaster game really feeling that drop!!! as was the the ball bounce one took time to get used to the wii like nunchuck controls i was using minds, the flying game was fun too oh and even Skyrim looks impressive as did Half Life 2 no motion sickness for me either :)

I used to be a gamer like you, then I took an arrow in the knee.

We've got an exclusive look at the new Oculus Rift and Razer Hydra title from the Project Holodeck team:

    http://www.roadtovr.com/2013/05/06/zombies-on-the-holodeck-oculus-rift-trailer-download-gameplay-5555

..including a hands-on video from yours truly, looking a touch daft. Let the abuse commence. ;)

You're not the one looking daft, Bob, don't worry. 1940's zombie films? T'chuh!

There were such things apparently. Although I agree it's a little off.

Nice to see a less contemporary visual take on the genre though.

Penny-Arcade seem to be 'getting it' in a way that Digital Foundry entirely failed to. A nicely written piece on the Rift:

    http://penny-arcade.com/report/article/oculus-rift

..which includes Kelly Weaver's unassisted flight, a preview, interview and gameplay video for which we'll have up on the site tomorrow.

Seriously wish I didn't cancel my Kickstarter devkit pledge. Do we have any idea yet when these may hit retail?

You can still order them at the same price from Oculus' home page. They're shipping abilities have improved immensely, if you ordered now you'd probably have yours by June.

Consumer version probably won't see the light of day until the latter half of 2014.

    Seriously.

As long as they have a mode where you can sleep in the cab and fend off cargo thieves at 3AM when it's pissing it down, using nothing but a tyre iron and sporting an erection, I'm all over it.
