..VR porn is just about the ultimate way to get caught 'engaged' too I'd imagine.

Oculus rift, VR porn, a fleshlight, internet shopping pizza, supermarket delivering to your home. You never need to leave the house again really.

We take a look at a cool new Virtual Cinema project, which uses the Oculus Rift to display movies in a private VR theatre with some intriguing online 'multiplayer' features:

Not yet, they are waiting till they have a batch of european kits. Apparently it costs 125 dollar to ship one unit to europe, but it's closer to 25 dollar if they ship an entire batch at once. They started with the americas and canada, europe is next, then comes asia.

Lots of people now do. I think around 1500-2000 have shipped in total around the world, European batch incoming this week - most via a new European fulfilment centre to reduce import duty and handling charges.

They seem to be averaging around 750+ per week which is short of their estimations, but not much.

Early backers are Kickstarter supporters - of which there are something like 7.5k (including me) :) I think there are 15k orders outstanding (post Kickstarter pre-orders) in total. Guess how much 17% of 15000 is? ;)

Also, I assume you know what the source of that data is? Compiled by some guy on reddit and horribly buggered at the moment. It's probably over optimistic. 1500-2000 as I say is probably nearer the mark.

All kits should be shipped by May. They're doing fairly well considering.

    Aw shucks, you! :)

It also happens to be almost identical to the graph produced by the Reddit document monkeys and is actually about right.

So, keep up the good work I guess! :)
