Been having issues getting to run HL2
    EG thread

On attempting to run Windows update via the link provided by Steam (website) the Microsoft website comes up with the error 0x8024400A

    Having Google'd 0x8024400A Error i discovered Wiki-errors.com
    How to fix 0x8024400A Error?

I'm not too sure about trusting the download. For one, it does not pass the Windows test.

Are you going to make a thread for every little thing that occurs?

If there is one thing I donot like and thats non reply's.
My reply to you is: Do you really have to reply with a non reply?

Having said that, Wiki-errors and HL2 questions are very different things. This thread might be of help to some, even if it is of no help to you.

    How hypocritical of you blacksea.

Every girl I ever kissed I was thinking of a pro footballer.

    Lol! you're right ;D
..guess that makes me no better than Dirtbox. Shame on me.

Edit: All I want to do is play HL2. Frustarion is creeping in. Reminders of why I dislike PC gaming (the install) are making themselves ever present. All I do to attempt to fix the problem results in dead-ends.

If you need a microsoft repair tool you download it from microsoft. Sounds pretty obvious to me, if some random website is telling you to download there file then well what do you think.
