Hi, I'm thinking of upgrading my PC but not quite sure which areas to focus on.

    Here are my current specs:

    Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz
    Gigabyte EX58-UD3R
    6.00 GB RAM (DDR3)
    ATI Radeon HD 5870
    Windows 7 64bit

Could any helpful/knowledgeable people advise me what I should be looking at and recommend any potential components?

What makes you think you need to upgrade? The only thing there that could bear some attention is the graphics card, but it's still plenty good enough to play everything around right now, so that's pointless.

Put a spoiler on the back and some LED strips on the bottom.

Isn't the 920 an excellent overclocker? Before upgrading push that thing to the limit.

That's pretty much my spec and it plays almost everything on max at 1080p.

I don't really see why you'd want to upgrade it, maybe an SSD or a beefier GPU if you're playing at stupidly high resolutions.

I bought this back in 2009 so I assumed it would be more outdated!

Thanks for your help all, I think I'm going to hold off for another year based on your responses.
