Well, I'm talking about things like, for example, talking about certain characters having their name changed, or how their personality is slightly different from the book version, or that such-and-such a scene wasn't in the book, or whatever. None of that is plot-related or particularly spoiler-ey, but it still rankles some people (so I try to avoid it).
What it is, I guess, is information that non-book-readers won't get anything out of. So I guess it's not spoiling, but annoying in a different way. Like having several people in a thread talking about something irrelevant, in a language that you don't understand.
So uh, yeah, I see your point and agree. I think. I'd wager that Game of Thrones spoilers have been discussed to death, though, so I'll just leave it there!
