All I'm using a kindle fire slip case I got in staples, the nexus 7 screen is too small to placed at any real distance and it's so light that anything with a stand in seems a bit pointless. So I figured why not just get something to chuck it in and protect it when it's in a bag if I want to use it it weighs almost nothing so I'll just hold it.

Can't find the link for the case I use at the mo (it is somewhere in this thread) gel case, good fit, bumper around the front, comes with screen protectors and a nifty collapsible stand for about a fiver, surprisingly good quality for the price.

I've got the poetic case. It's sturdy as hell and lightweight enough too. Recommended.

Sky Go is finally available for the Nexus 7, only downsides are that it requires an unrooted device and the picture quality isn't brilliant

What the hell is going on with the stock on the 3G version of the Nexus 7? Need about 20 of the things for a project but I haven't been able to find any outside of ebay.

Does the skygo app work on jailbroken iphones?

It'll be better when they finally bring ipads sky+ app to android.

Shit I've only just found the'explore similar artists' button on the Google play music store. That's a very cool feature I could mess around with for hours.

It's not so much the explore similar artists feature itself, its the way its presented as an interactive audio visual web which is fun to play with on a touchscreen device like the nexus

Frig sake.  What are my rights, anyone know? I have it charging via the pc but that's not a long term solution.

I find USB charges on my N7 take a fair while longer than mains charging.

As far as your rights are concerned I'd take it back and try to get it exchanged. If you got the 16gb version I'd ask them to do the 32gb for the same price to compo your inconvenience - and get them to check the plug.

It's the 32 GB that I have. It's not in stock in any of their 10 nearest stores to me here in Northern Ireland.

What a cock up by Rodger Argos.

Actually, it's ok, the inner box has a super secret compartment to confound stupid people.

In that super secret and hidden compartment to confound stupid people, there is a 3 pin UK plug which slides on to the main USB charging box which wasn't hidden in the super secret compartment.

Yes, I feel like a twat, but I'm a happier twat than I was :D

The way I understood your initial post was you had the plug but it was a euro one. If you said you hadnt got one at all we could probably have told you where it was ... :-)

    Cardboard box fail.

Edit - enjoy your new toy!

    Apps:

    Pod kicker
    Iplayer
    Perfect Viewer
    TV Catchup
    Netflix (and sub, obvs)
    MX Player
    Super Gnes (emu's)
    File Manager
Honey soft Media Importer (with a USB OTG cable)

Get a google play music account sorted too - it's ace, especially on the N7. I have about 50gig of music in their cloud keeping my paltry 16gb of storage for other stuff.

Good list. I prefer es file explorer myself purely because I like the swipe between sources (lan ftp local etc)

+1 on a play music account.  I have thousands of tracks up there.

    Thanks for the app advice.

    /posted from my nexus 7 32gb

It appears I got Ice Age HD movie for free, I don't remember buying it on my android phone.

Seem to have a choice of 3 magazines and 2 books also.
