Is anyone else totally addicted to "Treasures of Montezuma Blitz" on Vita?

    I can't stop playing it and it worries me as I've got a lot of other stuff on Vita I want to be playing (not least Gravity Rush and the LBP Beta), but I can't tear myself away from it! It's not even very good, just a pretty standard freemium match 3 for those that don't know, but for some reason it's got it's claws right in!

    Especially since they added trophies.

    I like the game but a lack of crystals is my issue. It costs a lot to rent totems etc. I know that by not applying them you can play for free but it would take a while to build up the necessary crystals. I am also useless with the daily scratch card.

    I have managed to pull myself away from it because I am not paying real money for crystals!

    It is a decent little game with a one-more-go appeal.

    FLOPS! RAM!

    I got lucky with the bug and it gave me 300,000 crystals in total.

    So no grinding needed.

    I got the bug around 6 or 7 times. Each time between 60-80k if crystals.

    It does make the big scores a lot easier having all maxed out tokens etc.

    Until the patch I didn't even realise how the "rent" system worked so I just always played once a day with the free crystals. Since the patch though I've found it quite easy to level up in a single sesh. I think it's to do with the free bonuses, which I hadn't unlocked, like added time and the magnifying glass. Now I'm literally going up a level (and getting free crystals as a result) about every 5-10 games. Crack!

    This certanily is addictive, I have only had my Vita for about a month and this is taking up a fair bit of time despite having Wipeout, Unit13 and Uncharted although I have finished that, Still pretty crap at it though, my best score is about 1.4 million although I didnt use the boosts, my eyes just cant keep up and I dont see the moves quick enough.
    Progguitarist I would happily donate you a few of my crystals as thy dont seem to be doing me much good, not sure how it works but I think you my need to be on my Freinds list.

    I've found it pretty good for a quick 10 minutes gaming before I go to sleep.

    I'm rather terrible at it though, levelling up pretty slowly.

    I have the same problem as Greasemonkey...my eyesight literally can't adjust quickly enough to rack up big scores.

    You don't need crystals, all they do is make getting higher scores easier. Pity you weren't playing it a few weeks ago, there was a kick ass bug that if you didn't play for a day it awarded you massive amount of lives and crystals.

    Damn yes I can't stop playing this. I got my highest score last night 18million something. Pure luck I'll be honest but that was with no powers. Anyone beaten that?

    18 million! Foxtrot Hotel thats some score, I was trying last night to send some of my stash of crystals to Progguitarist but it looks like you can only share crystals that you have won on the previous round or in the daily scrub thingy. Anyone know if you can break into the bank as such and share from the total amount of crystals you have.
    I might get back on Everybodys golf today if i dont get caught up in this again :-)

    I can only see how to share gems won ina round too. Yeh I'm happy with it but there must be a few people out there who have thrashed it. I just wanted a reference of how good it was. I've come nowhere near since

    Level 43 I believe. I assume level helps but I have a friend who's level is 73 and his best score I've seen is 10million

    That's what I was thinking. I do recall a few powers unlocking but couldn't find them so perhaps they're automatic powers so to speak. No need to equip them. Not sure though as I can't remember what it said. Levelling up though is easy since the update I was level 6 only four days ago

    Iam ashamed to say yes, and going by 'near' so are alot of other people.

    Its nice to have a free game where dont have to pay to enjoy it. Yes i can only play a couple games a day without paying but thats fine for a quick pick up game.

    Known as 'Sharzam' in 98.5% of games

    There are literally thousands of games like this one on mobile phones where you can play for free with certain limitations. They call them "freemium".
    Anyway, this is starting to lose its appeal after playing it everyday for a week.
    I've spent all my crystals so have to play without those added bonuses (or whatever they're called), I am the last rank on my friends list, and there is no way I'm going to catch up with those who have probably achieved those insane scores due to a previous glitch in the game. Which was later removed. So, a nice game but not anything that I would not have already experienced elsewhere.

    I never used the glitch once as sai I was level 6 a week ago and got my highest score with no powers of 18million 5days ago.

    I got lucky on the daily scratch game and won 40000 crystals which is lasting me ages. With all power ups on I use 1200 per game but can get pretty decent scores with only one or two on.
    Was one gem away from getting the clear the board trophy. One dammit!
