What I admire most about bob is his ambition. I probably would have given up after I was missing the first ingredient of the first burger.

    My goodness, what a monster.

If you are buying the meat from that East London Steak Co, (never mind the other ingredients), you must be spending a fortune!

Thoroughly deserves more exposure. It is one of my favourite threads. Wobbly bob is an amazing burger-creating giant among men.

Yes. lol Lucky it's only a once a week treat or I would be eating beans on toast for the rest of the week. This one was really pricy. The sheer amount of ingredients in it and it's like a hit list of the most expensive stuff. Not that I'm complaining, they taste good :-D

Cheers! :-) Although if I keep eating these monsters I will be a giant for real. I actually have noticed putting on weight since eating these almost every week lol

That's easily the best effort yet Bob, it looks utterly superb.

I do feel slightly guilty for encouraging this so much though. Maybe we should start a collection for a gym membership? Or at least a home defib kit.

    Number 16...

... I made it this very knight...

It's THE CAMALOT ( see what I did there? )

A juicy quarter pounder of beef with caramalised onions, sauteed mushrooms, streaky bacon, ripe tomato slices, dijon mayonnaise, and topped with ripe gooey camembert cheese in a home made brioche bun.

    original

*drum roll*...... I have to say this is one of the, and maybe - just maybe, the best burger I have had so far ( and it's also the first burger that I have had which was actually too big for my mouth lol ) Biting down on this was a real OMFG moment. It's juicy, rich, beefy/meaty, bacony/salty with an umami hit from the mushrooms and a sweet buttery richness from the caramalised onions and slightly cakey brioche. The juicy tomato bursting in your mouth and mixing with the tangy mayonnaise and there through it all is the gooey velvety wallop of the camembert cheese - although it's not melted the cheese is so gooey that it's acting like a sauce. WOW. Just fucking wow.

This burger was rich, beefy, gooey, messy wonderful and probably about one trillion calories, lets not think about that. Ahem. I'm glad I went to the extra trouble of actually making the brioche rolls after I couldn't get hold of any. I want it as close as I can get it and so decided to go for it and glad that I did because it really makes a difference having the rich buttery slightly cakey texture that brioche brings to the whole thing. The Wobbly Bob burger verdict is if you want to try just one burger then so far this is probably the one to make.

It will be 2 or 3 weeks now what with Christmas and the New Year till I make number 17 - The Crabby Louie

@jono62 It's worth it! Treat yourself! I recommend the East London Steak Company for the meat ( you can buy them ready made if you like. I recommend the Upminster ) and le rustique camembert for the cheese :-)

Recommend right clicking and opening the image in a new tab, I nearly had a heart attack!!

You've gone from just okay burgers to totally usurping the originals!!!

The Camelot looks stupendous. I could definitely go for that bad boy, also loving the commitment, making your own brioche rolls? Brilliant.

My only complaint is the name. Too similar to The Cameltoe.
