I would guess 20-25 hours at least, coul dbe much more. I'm up to around 11 hours and only have 3 princesses and 2/3 of the sub bosses done. There is also an online challenge element that will extend things.
My Vita keeps playing up every time I try to load this game. Most of the time the Vita will either freeze up on the title screen or the screen will go black by the Vita turning off on the title screen. Has anyone else had this problem with this game.

I've not had any problems, touch wood. It's loaded fine every time. Awesome game too.
@Pazie digital copy or from the cart?
I haven't had any problems with the game whatsoever. Have you tried deleting and reinstalling?
Firmware up to date? Patches loaded?
@Murbal From Cartridge.
I turned off my wifi in the Vita settings which has finally allowed me to play the game. I haven't done an update yet on my Vita, which could be some of the problem? My connection isn't very strong at the moment which is stopping me from doing a system update.
Thanks everyone else for your replies.
Two more questions...
1) how do you marry people. I've waited for little hearts above their heads to appear and then shove them in the church, but they come out unhappy.
2) How to you stop your helpers from following you.
@Pazie To get your minions to disperse, press down on the d-pad. They will also disperse if you go to bed.
To marry two people they need to be in love with each other. You can see who each person is in love with on the status screen. The name will be next to the heart. Sadly mine are almost always trying to recreate A Midsummer Night's Dream on a massive scale.
@santashi Thanks very much, that's a great help.
Really enjoying this; just my cup of tea! All seems fairly simple at the moment but nice foR just pottering about

It sounds like it's really good, stop tempting me, I've already got games on my Vita I haven't played yet.
Will probably cave.

Been to five separate shops and noone has this for sale. Poor show by retail as usual.
Think the initial physical release was fairly limited actually. Amazon didn't sell it. Shopto and Zavvi did but many online places didn't.
I think I've actually run out of things to spend my money/bol on in the game. Aw.
Here's some information on how the DLC will work in the US.
Imagine it will probably be a similar set up here.
I'm never sure why costume DLC is released a while after a game's release, though. The people who are finished with the game or near enough are less likely to bother with it, surely?
I like this game a lot, but I find the alchemy system really very annoying for completing a certain record.
So close to finishing but I have to wait 3 hours to see if the alchemy worked with the possibility of having to reload if it failed and wait another 3 hours to see if it worked this time. And I have to repeat this process for three items. Arg
3 hours 'in game' or 'real time in game' or 'come back to the game in 3 hours'?
Three actual hours. You can come back to it as in leaving it overnight while you're asleep but I've done that for a few nights with no luck. It's the last thing I need to do before the final boss.
Not that you can really do anything while the alchemy is going on because you'll lose the progress if it fails (the item you need for it is so rare I've not even got enough for all three attempts after 30 hours of play!).
But you don't *need* to get it to finish the game though?
You don't need it to fight the final boss. You do need it to complete the princess sidequests. And, perhaps more importantly in a way, to unlock all the jobs.

Just bought this on a whim. Hoping i'll like it.
@Zackv4861 It's good fun so hopefully you will. If you're just starting, I'd recommend going with 'hard' rather than 'normal' as 'hard' is what I'd call normal in this case.
I'm a bit bored of this game now and I'm only 5 hours in to it.
There we go: all finished!
Some of the endings are, er, interesting.
Where are you up to Pazie? It's a shame it's not grabbed you.
@santashi I've only taken down three boss fights. I wasn't very far into the game before I had enough of it.
Much as I adore this charming little game, I have to agree that the alchemy is poor. Normally combining items in games is a bit of fun - here, even with out the obscene 180 minute wait it's a bit naff. With, it's just downright dreadful.
Better game without it? Definitely.
Still enjoying it? Immensely.
Good to hear.
Having to do the final boss fight 9 times got a bit old (unsurprisingly!) but I ended up pretty much just hitting square constantly while watching a TV programme for the last 5 or so, so not really all that annoying. Everything bar alchemy is pretty fun.
The costume DLC is out today on the PSN:
Classic Set (£1.19/€1.49)Doesn't seem to be a buy-all pass like in the US, yet.
Japanese Set (£1.19/€1.49)
Military Set (£1.19/€1.49)
Pigtail Wig Set (£0.79/€0.99)
Sports Set (£0.79/€0.99)
I'm really enjoying this and can see me ploughing many hours into it but it feels somewhat unpolished to me. As in they have the basics spot on gameplay wise but a few things they could've spent a little more time on.

This is one of these games with an annoying final boss fight.
You think you've beaten him but oh no, there's a second round.
And what's more annoying is that if you die you have to go all the way back to the very beginning of the process, cut scenes and all.
Once you've beaten the final boss, is there anything else to it?
