Microsoft Store are great, sending me offers for Office in dollars. Amateur hour.

My sister has been using the Surface for a while now and the niggles do shine through compared to a normal laptop. Something simple like accessing a work site that requires adobe reader and java. They can burn in hell but she can't do anything on Surface so needs a proper laptop which she still has so not the end of the world. Printers being gimped and not working at all which was expected. Xbox Music being possibly the worst app in the world. Just the general lack of freedom and choice is more important than first thought for basic use.

She is losing patience with it and will replace it with a proper laptop. Knew going in that Surface RT was restricted but thought it would suffice for most things but slight niggles just bring up a brick wall which is too frustrating to live with.

    Pro is looking good

Little bit concerned about the battery life though (and price obviously).

Looks like a nice bit of kit. Wish they'd gone with 16:10 though.

This post is sponsored by Apple and the iPhone 4S. Think different.

Agreed - for the price they are asking you could buy 3 iPad minis, which would be one for each app on the Windows 8 app store

You've got those prices the wrong way round.

Nice ad but it's very very dangerous territory. I don't think it would be particularly difficult for Apple to do a fairly crushing response ad.

They showed a couple features and that's supposed to convince me that the pro's better?

Still better than random people dancing around looking like weirdos.

I wouldnt touch the surface until it has one of the new more power efficient CPUs in it.

Oh and they need to slim it down loads.
