Wow 6 months on and nothing much has changed (well another PS3 bit the dust). Bought Borderlands 2 and Halo 4 but only ever play co-op these days. Haven't been around these parts much over the past 6 months either.

Any strange or excitement, rage quits, regs leaving, Blerk still around, general arsehattery and mayhem?

I think you should play XCOM and rename all of your squaddies after forumites, friends and family. It's a quality game, and it might be that it's the palette cleanser that you need. Also, it's turn-based strategy in the vein of Advance Wars, so it's easy on the thumb, and easy to get into. Although you can go deep too when you're ready for more.

You missed higgins, a Nintendo fanboy the likes of which this forum has never seen, truly impressive.

Busy! Too much work, not enough time for slacking and posting shit on the internet.

Same here ... work eating way too much into family time never mind gaming. The boys are obsessed with Minecraft so don't get much of a chance to get onto the 360 too.

I lost my interest in games some months ago and yet I still continue to play all night like a zombie. I weirdly avoid looking for and buying new games on my shiny new PC than actually playing anything, I have a games shop and used to sit on my Xbox all day everyday so I think I've killed the golden goose, even games like dishonored which I love I just cant be arsed playing.

Drop 7 on my phone gets a good few hours every night though

    Think I'm spent.

Rediscovering the joy of (trying) to play music again and also really enjoying keeping fit.

My PS3 collection has been whittled from 70 retail games to about 10, the 360 is gone completely and I have a PS4 gathering dust. I don't touch handhelds/mobiles, and don't even boot MAME up any more.

I've gone through periods like this before, but never for as long, or as barren. Could be time to hang up the joypad :(

Fuzzy man, ya can't be telling me you're quitting when we are all ramping up for extensive adventuring in Dark Souls II!? That shit ain't right...
  • Deleted user 6 March 2014 05:25:47
Sure thing Duff, I will also send you the baseball bat to smash it with :D

Yeah TG, I actually sold my copies of both Demon's and Dark Souls today, sitting out DSII for sure. Don't have the patience for it any more. Have Infamous SS on preorder, but I'm realistically thinking of selling the PS4 afterwards. 400 is a lot for a dust magnet :(
