Registered 9 years agoFor those disappointed how PS One games scale on the Vita, er, come on!
What did you guys expect given the PS One and Vita's screen resolutions?
I am no expert at this stuff but I knew black borders were unavoidable. As was the case with PS One games on the PSP.

Registered 2 years agoI thought the USB/charger thing was quite handy, actually. Means I can quickly unplug it from charging up and connect it to my PS3 or laptop. I'm easily pleased.

I don't understand why they don't do a "Fit vertical" resolution. On the PSP they had "fit horizontal" which meant you lost half the vertical resolution, but for some reason you had to use a custom zoom to get it to use most of the screen space.

Fuck. FF8 not working properly...
X button only seems to function intermittently which makes navigating menus or trying to progress through dialogue boxes a real chore / impossible.
Anyone else experiencing this?

@Opti
Have you tried other PS1 games?
I'll try FF8 tonight and see if I have the same issue.

Registered 7 years agoHaving all my games on my US account, had to buy a new memory card for account switching. Gotta say it is reasonably painless and the NTSC games are full screen, on normal settings, and with this screen they look fantastic.
Need to try a true dual analogue game now, G-Police it is.
PSP can finally be laid to rest, or given to my 5 year old.

Registered 3 years agoDoes anyone know how Soul Reaver PS1 holds up against the DC version? I loved it on Dreamcast, and I seem to remember people saying the DC game was basically an enhanced port of the PS1 version, but, playing the DC title, it always seemed to me to be a bit too ambitious to work properly on PS1... -

US file sizes are generally smaller as well, Crash Bandicoot 467MB vs 902MB, Destruction Derby 66MB vs 127MB etc.. Annoyingly the EU store (via MediaGo) doesn't list the file sizes on most titles, the US version does however.

Registered 2 years agoI have my ff9 save copied from my old
Psp on my playstation 3, currently sitting within saved data utility (minis/psp). However when I connect the vita to my ps3, it does not recognise the ff9 save (the psp game saves within this folder show up fine). Has anyone else had this problem? Can't stomach starting again! (should mention I don't have the psp anymore) -
