Omg, you are so right. Such a shame no one realises.

Really all they had to do was re-make COD4.

They had the perfect simplified template of the last good COD game.

For me the chances of VITA being as a successful mainstream product is now dead.

Easy now, give it at least a year before making such damning statements.

Am I happy with it? No, I'm unfortunately not. It'll come good, though.

It's been out almost a year in Japan. It's selling 5 a week.

Compared to 3DS it pretty much feels like 5!

First impressions, its alright, controls are good, I only did the tutorial run level twice so far, my friend is trying it out right now.
About to play BLOPS 2 in a couple of minutes.

I think too many of you are giving up on it too soon. Sony always play the long game. They don't even care about hardware numbers until year 3. It's the software numbers that'll decide the fate of the Vita, but it's not looking too clever there either.

Playing the long game? Nonsense. Course they want it to last but they also want it to sell. Don't think they're sitting back nodding saying "wait until next year, we'll slingshot into first place!"

If they were sensible they'd sign a shit load of exclusives and announce all of them now, so that people thinking about picking one up for Christmas see it as an investment.

That's what they'd do if they were sensible...

They'd also go balls out on PS2 emulation and remote play.

Or even the bleeding obvious things like letting a few other countries buy their games on Playstation Mobile, instead of totally pissing their customers off by having Fred Fucking Flintstone ignore any question asking if that wonderous thing will ever happen. Totally clueless company.

This thread is dead now. Do any of you who took the plunge still play the game? Intersted to hear some opinion from those who have owned it for a while?

It's broken, too short, the AI is shit and the load times are sloooooooow...

But I'm still enjoying it. Multiplayer is fun still.

It's a wasted opportunity for sure, but is somehow a guilty pleasure. (Much like most COD games, but even more so...)

A few on my friends list are still playing. Have seen it at 35 but needs to be under 30 for me to take the plunge.

It isn't worth the price to be honest. If it drops below 25 or so, and if you like this sort of thing then it's worth a punt.

I only got it because I acquired a lot of money last week.

It's weird, I can't recommend it but I'm really enjoying it.

I'm actually really enjoying this. Yes the single player is short but I'm enjoying replaying them with a view to finish on veteran.

The trophies are a draw to me now trying to finish a mission with taking no damage etc, so for me there is some replayability there.

This game viewed for what it is - a handheld game - I think its actually damn good!

As long you keep that in mind it plays well

Doesn't cut it. Need for Speed is a handheld game and is virtually identical to the console counterpart. There's no excuse to get way less content and features for the same price.

    PSN : Gregolution
    XBL : Gregolutionz

Is there still much of a community playing this online?

I'm drawn to it, even though I know I'll be disappointed :/

25 off ebay for a download code from someones Xmas Vita COD bundle. Should have the code later thought at that price would give it a go... no way could stomach 45 from PSN! Hopefully at Xmas they'll be more people playing online...

I've also been watching Declassified MP on youtube and it looks suprisingly good.

My COD itch is mental after taking an absitinence since COD4!

25 is a decent - is there anymore at that price?

I think I said earlier in this thread that I thought the game is actually pretty good. Got slated as it's too short.

But I've really enjoyed playing this. Plays damn good for a handheld game.

Single player is short yes, and multiplayer is very good too. Always people on to play with.

I got my copy a few weeks back from PC World for 36.99

    Review time!

Last time I played a COD game was COD4 so this had alot of living up to.

Single Player: Not played it much but looks scarce. Straight off if your looking for a single player FPS then this isnt it.

MP: This is where ive spent a few hours and it is FUN but not without its problems.

Pros: Maps are small which mean that you are always not far from the enemy.

This will also change your playing style - I always used the AK47 but shotty's are practically the only useful gun due to the smaller maps.
    Sniper's are totally redundant.
    Luckily Shotty's are fun.

Graphics are better than I thought - not PS3 quality but certainly not far off.

Simplified - some people are complaining of lack of game modes but I prefer it that way as your not overwhelmed particularly if you are coming from COD4.

    Cons

Smaller maps also mean that your always bumping into teammates which more often than not gets you both killed.

    Loading times.

Sound is tinny but you wont notice it after a while.

Expect to lose a connection every hour or so.

Small PS3 screen limits your vision - not the games fault however.

Dual stick controls on the VITA feel a little soft for twitch shooting.

    Price at 44.99

    Overall

    Single Player : 5
    MP : 7

If they can improve the connection problems, loading times, and drops to around 25 (price i got a DL version for) then it would be an 8.

I'm bidding on this. It's currently on 1, but I can see it going up. How much exactly is it "worth"? I would love to get it for 15, or is even that pushing it?
