If the Vita truly fails you will be left owning possibly the most fantastic emulation device ever made. Either way it's all good.

I think it will be fine to be honest. Everyone said the same about psp too.

    FCUTA!

Sure everyone said the same about 3DS in its first 8 months or so. Sony took a while with the ps3 too. They're in it for the long haul IMO

Neither the 3DS or the PS3 were even close to as dead as the Vita is. It's tracking lower than the Dreamcast did and has no games on the horizon which look like changing its fate.

It'll limp along for the next couple of years and be quietly forgotten about when Sony release the PS4.

Yeah the 3DS was doing miles better during its poor period. Shame it's got loads of really great games now.

I wouldn't count on the PS4 been a success, Sony seem to be ran by total morons. After my experiences with the PSN, I would definately pick MS if I was buying a console next gen. It's annoying as the Vita is such an amazing device, and if anyone was thinking of buying one I'd say do it. It has a far better line up then the 3DS, and I love mine. As for my faith, I got custom firmware on mine for ScummVM and Ultima 7 so I won't be buying anything untill I've played through a lot of old classics I ain't played in years.

Also got Final Fantasy 4 through 9, the PSP Gta's, way too many Vita games, Trails in the sky and quite a bit more to keep me entertained while the mrs, ma and sister watch Sex and the City and other shite this xmas.

Reading that this was developed in five months. Nothing can have cod polish in that timescale. Bet it doesn't have the same resource either.

I ain't played a CoD in years, why this was tempting me. 5 months explains a lot.

It's probably not far off a 2 when you use Edge's scale. 6 / 10 on the IGN scale.

Nah, Ign seems to hate to vita, look at their Ragnarok Odyssey , Little King Story, Most Wanted, or Ass Creed reviews. On their scale would be a -5.

I own both the Vita, and the 3DS, and there is no comparison.

The 3DS is like some sort of gimmicky littly toy.

As i said elsewhere recently - Nintendo could bring a calculator out and people would lap it up. The screen is tiny, it gives you head ache, the nub is crap, and the games are nothing special.

    The Vita is far superior.

Also the analogue nub on the 3DS is brilliant.

Complaining about screen size now that the XL is out seems silly too.
Vita is a lovely piece of kit and i say this having not turned on my 3DS since I got my Vita but I think over their respecitive lifespans the 3DS will see a lot more top quality content than the Vita.

My nephews see the Vita as just another PSP so are not interested in it. The Vita is much more than that.

Edge really slam something if it has poor AI and bad controls. Which they this it has.

Activision won't be happy at all. An hours gameplay in campaign? That's an insult!

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.

Bit of an odd thing to post in the thread for a big Vita game that's just been critically mauled.

From the PA Report article :

"Sony is stuck with a holiday season where stores are filled with bundles advertising a game thatís absolute shit"
    Ouch.

    This space left intentionally blank.

Nintendo probably look at the under-powered 3DS and it's success against the 'next-gen' vita as another reason why wii U will do well.

    But that's for another thread.

This article makes me wonder about who made the decision to give this game to a mediocre developer and rush it out for christmas? Sony or Activision? Did Sony pay for an exclusive and Activision failed to deliver, the COD IP is one of the most valuable in gaming so its not far fetched? Or did Sony have more control over development and just fuck it up?
It could still sell well on name alone though, crazier things have happened.

This troubles me. I'm torn. For me, CoD is one of the most over rated franchises in the history of gaming, and here it is packaged up like a turd rolled in glitter on one of the finest games consoles I've ever owned, seemingly hastening its downfall by showing it in a bad light.

The travesty is, it'll sell more than Unit 13 - a wonderfully executed game that makes the Vita shine.
