    To be fair a lot of Vita reviews seem insane to me. Vita games are been given very harsh scores. Little King's Story is a very charming game that reminds me a lot of old Bullfrog, yet it's slated everywhere. Ass Creed revolution is quite impressive for a handheld game, yet most reviews are 5 or 6. Most Wanted is the most impressive game I've seen yet on a handheld, yet the few times the Vita version is mentioned it's called a cut down version. I just wish reviewers were consistant. I've played so many high scoring PC games in the last year that really didn't deserve it.

    And on the other hand, the real trite ports like the Lego game are never mentioned anywhere.

    Hence me lurking here in this thread, because it seems the best way to know if a game is worth playing is checking the forum. I find a lot more about upcoming games from Santashi then I do from any website.

    @Help_me I think the general feeling is "not bad!".

    It's been slated so much in the last few weeks I'm genuinely quite pleased with it. Multiplayer is where it's at, and it's enjoyable. Yes more maps would be nice, but it's good fun.

    It's COD on the go, which if you like that then it's great. Single player is a challenge on harder difficulties too.

    I did only pay 25 cash for it though, yay part exchange.

    @JayG I think there's only one really negative opinion on Declassified in this thread, the rest are just pleasantly surprised that it's not total crap.

    I'd say if you can pick it up for under 30 and you like COD multiplayer it's worth a dabble. Maybe just pick it up from Blockbuster for a few days first?

    Had a couple of great games online again last night, finding it really enjoyable. Again, had low expectations and got it for 25, but it is generally very playable, smooth and feels like COD.

    SP is limited but the normal difficulty is easy and you will obviously fly through the 10 missions that are there, put the difficulty up to hardened or veteran and it is much more challenging and enjoyable. It would be like playing 1 game of Fifa on easy, Real Madrid vs Shrewsbury and moaning that it is to easy and dismissing it.

    There does seem to be an agenda to slate Vita games, how NFS is sitting at 78% on Metacritic is just plain ridiculous.

    I wonder if the lack of advertising revenue from Sony for its vita games has any impact.

    That makes me sound fanboyish. But it honestly feels like something is amiss with reviews on vita in general.

    @Kangoo "compared to the console version this is vastly inferior" is a line I have read far too often, usually unfairly.

    Dunno, i've seen the assasins creed vita advert many a time on tv recently.

    I hate to say it, as i loved the idea of the vita, but i think handhelds are almost dead in the water. Even kids want an ipad / ipod touch instead of a vita/3DS thesedays.

    That solitary negative opinion was me btw.
    I now feel that the reviews have vilified me.
    And all the people who have bought and are " enjoying it"
    stop kidding yourself that it's good.

    It's a perfectly fine statement to make if the handheld version is trying to emulate everything about the console version, but failing.

    Get bent.

    Mike, We know that you don't like this.
    And I am really not trying to take the piss.
    But the game itself isn't half bad,
    plenty of shooty fun to be had.
    Though short on content, for 40 pound
    COD BLOPS Declassified is really sound!

    Yeah I can understand it's somewhat limited in maps/missions etc, but it plays really well, and multiplayer is really solid.

    @THFourteen Not so. Both my kids have asked for Vitas with LBP for Xmas. They only use our idevices for dip in games like jEtpack joyride.

    @robbailey
    Sorry Rob used it in the wrong context.
    I have been vilified by some people on here for my
    comments!
    And all of you are right that it's only my opinion.
    I don't dismiss that you can't have fun with it.
    But I have been gaming long enough to know what constitutes
    a good game.
    And general consensus must never be dismissed in the long run
    in that this game is any good.

    I've been gaming for 30+ years. And I think it's not half as bad as its being made out to be.

    Thats the problem. We should be saying "holy shit, they managed to do THAT on a handheld" instead of "its not so bad".

    I'm glad to hear these comments about kids wanting vitas for Xmas. It's a tough market for mobile gaming now but personally I pray both the 3ds and Vita succeed. I don't get on with iOS games, would hate to be left with that as my only option.

    Might go buy LBP and smart as right now..

    Show of support for dedicated handheld gaming devices!

    @Progguitarist

    It's pretty, no doubt, but I've played handheld MP games with larger player counts, larger scale maps and more features.

    Syphon, MoH and the infamous FTB2 might not have had the looks, but they didn't skimp on features. Fair enough, CodBod is a first attempt, and I fear we may not see a second unless the Vita's fortunes improve, but the limited scope still marks it down imo.

    @Mikeeeboy1 Maybe 'vindicated'?

    I don't think people mind you saying that you didn't like the game, so much as telling them that they can't possibly be enjoying it. :)

    i think the Vita has already had it to be honest. Selling around 5k a week in Japan. That's piss poor really. It's hard to see how it can be revived now, no Monster Hunter and reports of developers abandoning ship. Games like this and ACL should be been system sellers but they aren't up to scratch.

    Well, even though it's strugling, no doubt it will pick up a bit during christmas. Add to that a lot of PS3 owners with a PS Plus subscription suddenly feeling that they are missing out on a lot of great free games and the number of potential Vita buyers is MUCH bigger than before the PS Plus announcement.
