Dodgy as shit that the review copies weren't sent out. Warfighter did the same thing. Let's just hope it's not for the same reasons.

How do you know review copies weren't sent? I assumed that the Vita version was just covered by the embargo as well and that's why no reviews are up yet.

No. IGN and Polygon reporters amongst others, said that they have not received their review copies as of yet.

Greg Miller being their playstation correspondent, you'd think that a company like Activision wouldn't forget IGN.

You just know it's going to be panned. Pathetic. Should have been a massive blockbuster and it could have potentially shifted a shit ton of Vita's.

This game will not save the vita.
    It's absolutely fucking crap.
I have played it for the last hour and that's it for me.
Back to the shop it will go first thing in the morning.
To my fellow gamers do not and I repeat and stress DO NOT buy this shitty shit game!

I really was feeling hopeful back there...

Ah well, I shall return to getting my arse handed to me on Need for Speed and maybe pick up AC:Liberation for Christmas instead.

    Ho hum...

I just can't understand how they could cock up something as formulaic as CoD. I have no interest in the game, but I refuse to believe it's bad simply because there's no excuse for it being bad.

Well I popped into HMV this morning to see if I could resist, and what do you know I could. Main reason - it's the same price as the PS3/Xbox version. OMG they must be off their rocker!

    THIS.

I'm seriously depressed now. The Vita can't afford this sort of total fk up.

I just don't understand why they didn't just stick the cod engine on there. Surely the vita can handle it?

Episode 5 of our gaming podcast Open Source is a Gamescom Special. Check it out here!

Yep, they should have just released cod 3 with dumbed down graphics. Charge 30 for it and it's a winner.

I only ever seem to see crazy prices for games in HMV shops, although that could just be the branches I've visited. :D

I'm sure the vita could handle the COD engine, but I doubt it could handle it at 60FPS, which is the key element to COD IMO.

Agree. But 42.99 is a little steeper than usual!

It would be nice if they made the psp cod games work on Vita too.

Just visited Metacritc and had a look at the
user reviews and I'm shocked to see they are all very positive.
Something is very off with this as I have the game and it's awful.
The campaign is short ( maybe 2 hrs!!).
    The controls are fiddly.
    Sensitivity is far to high.
    Crap graphics.
    Crap sound and sound effects.
    Multiplayer is bland.
Also you have to empty a full clip into your opponent to kill them which takes that long they have run 20 metres and knifed you.
Unit 13 is not the greatest game but it's a masterpiece in comparison to this abomination.
    Overall 2/10

Campaign is 2 hours? The first user review on metacritic says 7 hours.

I quite liked Unit 13, never understood the grief it gets. Perfect for handheld playing.

It got grief? I've only ever heard positive stuff personally.

Just spent.an hour playing this on the train. Controls are a bit too.sensitive. Fixed in options though. Operations mode only played first mission. Play it on regular and it is a breeze. Hardened though, I can only get 3 minutes in to the level. Hostiles mode is great.fun.and perfect for mobile play. Plus the time trials are short and fun challenges.

Apart from that it looks, sounds and plays like a Call of Duty game. Think this might get unfairly criticised as it is not the full COD game people wanted but it is well suites for formats style of play.

I have been playing it as well and think it is great. I suppose just because I work for Sony I am not allowed to have an opinion?

I'm sure the TV advert for this the other night said it was 'classified 18'. Which I find quite ironic, given the name of it.
